  1. did that episode of south park where they go hunting in the woods pop into anyones heads while watching this? you know the one where they shout "omg its coming straight for me!" then cuts to a rabbit hopping along minding its own business lol but anyway, obviously bad sportsmanship letting the animal suffer while getting his camera out and taking one handed pot shots. nothing short of animal cruelity.
  2. Good adice I made that mistake when i got my first gun, I now leave the barrels facing downwards after i've cleaned them and put them back upright acouple of days later.
  3. had to bury a dead fox cub yesterday, probably killed by someones dog. we have little reason to control them where i shoot so i'm not too knowledgeable on the subject.
  4. I'm going say its over 12 ft/lb google says 230 metres = 754.5.. feet you can do the rest of the math here http://extorian.co.uk/shooting/pellets.html obviously you'll never realy know unless you use a chronometer
  5. I wouldn't of thought so if thats all youv got on record cautions are not convictions so you dont have to declare it on the form but they will bring it up when they come round for the visit and you must tell them nothing but the truth.
  6. Where i work it's known for them to pull down the tree gaurds to get at the bark but never to actualy get into the tree
  7. squirrels seem uneffected by the weather, altho the rabbits have gone to ground and only got 1 out of 4 sightings from a whole day of shooting.
  8. I have tried this and no you can't altho you can get 3+1 in a gun chambered 3.5" but doing so is illegal.
  9. I got my EB22 from http://www.wighillparkguns.co.uk have them send it to your local RFD, they'll probably charge you £25 quid for the trouble tho.
  10. yes, aslong as they dont have access to them the guns must be locked away and only you have the key.
  11. can't say i have somemone nearly shot me with a bsa ultra tho. at the end of the day it doesn't even matter if youv got a safty or not, your finger shouldn't be on the trigger.
  12. I dont think there is any benefit in using both eyes with scopes. i always close one eye but after awhile I get tired of squinting and just dont bother
  13. When i filled out the forms for my SGC it simple asked me if i had any convictions, and i told them the truth, no but when he came round he new about my run in with the law and I told them the everything. but if they ask you no questions, then you can't tell no lies
  14. well done mate, it was worth it after all that must be a trick of the light because that rabbit looks the size of a small dog
  15. Webley hawk mk3, just rooted it out The first gun i bought myself was a Air Arms TX200HC but i later sold that for a S410

  17. .177 when out in the field after rabbits and the .22 when im just shooting pests in the garden.
  18. a easy why to get close to them is to just wait outside their burrows. they have literal came out a arms length away from me, leaving me utterly confused what to do
  19. like whippet said you can buy any number of section 2 shotguns you like aslong as you inform the firearms dept. within 7 days after purchase and you can securely store them, my FAO made a note of how many my cabinet can hold so i suspect when you exceed that number they'll come round make sure your locking them away. he told me if you do run out of room you can just brake the gun down and just secure the stock/action
  20. Telfast (Fexofenadine) ask your docter about it, i work on a plant nursery and these get me through the day.
