  1. I've got a 500 and it's pretty much a no thrills pump action, theres not much that can really go wrong on one. The only down side is that the forend are loose straight out of the factory and can rattle while your walking up on a rabbit, they say this is so you can still work the slide while it's caked in mud tho. Theres quite a few after market accessories for mossberg. I got a side saddle that holds 6 cartridges on the side of mine, Ideal in summer when your in shorts and tshirt and don't want to load you pockets with cartridges.
  2. I work on a garden nursery and can assure you they do. Rabbits teath never stop growing so they wear them down by gnawing everything insight That will be oversize rats , rabbits are not well known for gnawing fruit trees, only small ones or saplings perhaps, I do work for a BIG Plant nursery keeping down their rabbit population, they very rarely cause any issue to trees/fruit trees but a lot to the plants and shrubs! I usualy only deal with the tree side of the nursery tbh, we do alot of hedging and ornamental trees which are just planted in a field bordering a wood and I have to

  4. Thanks guys, I just wanted to know if letting a regular policeman access to my guns could come back at me, and having the TV licensing man jump through a few more hoops would of been a bonus Yes, alot of modern technology. Computer(no TV card installed) PS3, laptop, Bluray/DVD player, mobile phone, Internet Access. The law says that I cannot have any equipment installed or used to acces live Broadcasts, which I don't, but TV licensing would insist I do if a policeman wasn't there.
  5. lol don't worry mate if he gets arsey the jimmy saville card will defently be getting played.
  6. Yes I'm aware of that, they would have to have a police man accompany them around my house. But does that give the policeman the right to check my cabinet without a firearms officer?
  7. So I don't have a TV so I'm automaticly branded a criminal in the eyes of TV licensing and have been threatened with a search warrant I take it that even with a warrant they cannot gain access to my guns without a Firearms officer being there, but how do you know they are a firearms officer or not?
  8. I can't answer that, but personly i'd have it re-proofed just incase. Dan, if i was you I'd just invest in a second gun unless you can deal with a open choke, a single or double barrel gun is about 4" shorter than a pump or semi with the same length barrel. another thought is if its a mossberg you might even find a spare barrel.
  9. just checked preloved.com £600 for 1 with a cage, your in the wrong business
  10. you might not of got owt but you'll aways remember nigts like that.
  11. I thought one of the murders were carried out with an illegal shotgun, and the other one already had a section 1 anyway. I fail to see how this would of helped prevent either
  12. HW45 is highly rated in .22, never used mine for rats but makes short work of baked bean tins =)
  13. most forums have them, its just away to eventualy ban people that make trouble but never seem to warrant a ban outright. dont worry about it, you should get a pm telling you what you'v done wrong if anything.
  14. there was a article about plastic fouling in this months issue of 'Sporting Gun' it recomends using "hoppes no.9 rifle barrel cleaner" when plastic fouling is present but says it is designed for metallic fouling and will attack your bronze brush so make sure to wash it afterwords.
