Let me just say that the last thing I am trying to do is to impress YOU! make sure thats known pal, I've got nothing to prove to no one on here and I don't care much what anyone thinks of what I do or say on here, not even in the least. There is plenty of tall stories in this game, but the other thing I've become to realise is that there is also a disgusting level of jealousy and back stabbing in the terrier world as well mate. As hard as it is to find a good terrier, it seems its just as hard to find decent enough person working them that isn't either a jealous b*****d, bullshitter or an

Its not that I don't believe what you are saying, its just that I think a good well bred Patt will do just what I've seen these Jagd terriers do below ground. Maybe its easier to find a good well bred Jagd, than it is to get a good well bred Patterdale where you are from? I can see why the Jagd terrier is a more popular breed on the continent because of its versatility, but for working below ground I don't see how they are any better from what I have seen of them compared to a well bred Patterdale. Thanks for your time Anna.

Sorry Anna but if the Parsons or the Patt do not succeed then why have you not got rid of them? If they consistently fail you then they shouldn't be used at all. It sounds to me that you must be using terriers that are not up to the task if you have to revert to another dog to do the job. There's a fair share of terriers that wont make the grade what ever the breed and where ever they're from, but you must not have a quality Patterdale over there if the ones over there get tired quick. I'm not trying to say our native breeds are better, I'm just saying from what I've seen of these vide

There's not much better like seeing a rapid dog run and catch well, and I suppose they've gotta have some speed, but the brainy dogs are the more reliable ones (as far as keeping the pot full goes) from what I've seen.

I think that goes for quite a few of the American dogs as well don't it? Wasn't the American PitBull terrier bred from English dogs that were taken over there generations ago? Same with their bulldogs they were bred out of original British dogs as well weren't they? The credit has to go to the lads that created the breed though, so fair play to them I say .

nice one mate, its good to see people getting their nippers interested in a bit of sport like this, rather than stuffing a chocolate bar in their mouth and sitting them in front of a TV playing computer games. Fair play mate! -
I do think putting them in like that is all too easy for the dog, they haven't got to dig on, they haven't even got to find their quarry, all they've got to do is move on up and its there in front of them, so it is no real true challenge for the terrier, BUT I would say that it would probably be alright to introduce a young terrier to, just to see how keen they are and or to see how they'll work (bay, mix etc). As for what I've seen of the Jagds, I like the look of them, some of them seem real keen, but I don't see what they do what a well bred native breed over here can't do underground.

Sound mate, You know I'm glad you posted this up because I seen a near identical mincer at the market a couple of weeks back, but thought it wouldn't do the bone! Now you've said it works, I'll be back to pick it up, some time in the week I reckon. Have you tried any chicken in it? I'm guessing chicken would go through just as easy if not easier. Good stuff mate!

F*ckin' 'ell the first one was awful enough.

Thats weld mesh by the sounds of it. How big are the sheets for a tenner mate? Fairly big a friend and myself half used half of a sheet on 3 big hutches.I will get you measurements later on.Its great stuff not cheap i know but worht the dosh.Wear gloves when cutting it cos its tough stuff and my pal cut herself a cracker with it.As i said we resorted to using a still saw to cut through it and it comes in different sizes and gauges id look up their website Yeah I worked with it quite a lot when I was fencing, you've gotta be careful with it especially if you get a roll of it, you'

-
well sorry but i just say it like it is......i know alot of people like to just sit there like a c**t and say f**k all...but thats not me...and if i'm a failing man in your eyes i couldn't give a f**k..the terrier world is full of dreamers and know it all's.........and 95% of them or on here........bottom line is PUPPY FARMING.............. So you fail to acknowledge the dogs that have been posted up on here, that have and still do work well for their owners? Bottom line is IRRATIONALITY........

Thats a fair enough statement Hepher, but you can't stop people disagreeing with someone that makes a sweeping statement that says all Nuttall's are shit. Not when there is people working these terrier's and getting just what they want out of them. I'm not saying they're faultless, and to be honest I don't really give a shit about big names, a dog could be one of her Majesties corgi's for all I care, so long as it does what I expect of it I couldn't care a less lol, Just messin' but you know what I mean? I could understand if he said all the Nuttalls he's seen have been shit, but

Fair play mate! good job. -
If its not on tight enough it could get caught on roots I suppose? Not had it happen to me though so I couldn't say from experience.
-
All you gotta do is slide it round so its underneath mate, its no big deal to be honest, it just puts it out of the way.
-
Yeah I put it on the dog and put the yolk so its underneath, I put it on quite tight as well, not so its choking the terrier but tighter than I'd put a normal collar on a dog. I'm not the only one who does this and me and the lads I dig with had not had a problem with it, Try it out.
-
Exactly mate, which is why I find it ridiculous when characters like Fair game come and say they're sh!t. The ones he's seen might be shit in his opinion but theres a lot of people that work these terriers often and are happy with them.
-
When you put the collar on the dog, make sure the receiver is sat underneath the dogs neck out of the way, rather than sitting on the back of its neck. shouldn't get in the way then. All the best. The b&f collar naturally sits on the side of the dogs neck. Well I'd say sit it unnaturally underneath the dogs neck out of the way. I assume youve not put one of these collars on any of your dogs. Might be reading it wrong, sounds like you want an argument, so ill leave you to it. I don't want an argument I'm just saying how I put the collar on a dog and hav

i don't do pics with all thats been going on..but i'll go out with anyone and use my dogs...talk is cheap and pics are even cheaper You don't do pictures but you want someone who works Nuttall terriers to land over your way for a dig lol. Get a grip mate. Thats all I have left to say on the matter. an other one full of shit....just keep your dog chewing sticks.... LOL Chewing sticks??? This dog don't chew sticks Mr Game Keeper. Thats just what you're doing.
