  7. even tho the applicater is in a seeled case and i carry the tubs in a seeled container i can still smell it after a job, dodgy stuff windows open all the way home its one of the reasons ive ordered a canopy for the back of my truck to keep it away from me
  8. i always cover the top of my duffus with fine soil off the mole hills about in inch as i believe this stops any change in air flow through the holes in the trap and maybe some sound difference to as the mole approches it (its more like a seeled tunnel with no voids) we all have our own ways but just try it different ways and see what works for you.
  9. thanks all, lots of ideas there my .410 is a side by side can you get a silencer for a double? i think i will call basc as i am a member and see what they say also the local fao to get his thoughts on it that captive bolt thing looks abit short for my liking dont fancy trying to grab hold of a scared fox to use it to anyone who has a .17hmr, how quiet are these when fitted with a moderator? thanks again

  13. i breed light sussex chickens and they are good layers and also they look nice alot of the hybrids lay far more eggs but to me are just very plain looking. if your not to far from oxford i`ll do you 6 for 40 quid.
  14. Hi all was just wondering if i can get a .22 rimfire with a silencer for dispatching foxes in cage traps. i am getting more and more calls for foxes in domestic situations taking chickens, at the moment i cage trap and then once caught i have a set of wheels i attach to one end of the trap to wheel it to my truck i then load it and drive to my smallholding where i shoot them point blank with the .410 i`m sure that this is not the best method and must be upsetting for the caught fox but even a .410 is far to loud to shoot in a "normal" back garden so i dont have another option at t
  15. I CAN BEAT THAT ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON WITH THE AIR GUN
  16. if peanut butter isnt working try honeynut loops cereal i`ve used this in lofts many a time works wonders
  17. i love trees and have planted a couple of thousand on my holding including poplar, it should pollard nicely if its not to massive a stump but i know this is not the point if you want to plant some more trees to "get back" at him but dont like conifer try some willow (salix viminalis) this grows like mad i have about 1500 of these in a willow bed and they can grow up to 10-12 feet per year. but to make yourself feel better get a watering can full of sodium chlorate weed killer sneak out after dark and write c**t in 10 foot letters on his front lawn.
  18. Hi all i`ve just ordered a ifor williams canopy for my hilux and was looking for some roof bars for my truck so i can still take my ladders on pestie work i`ve done a search but for my model they seem to be around £150 which is more than i thought can anyone suggest a good set that is cheaper, they dont have to be heavy duty as its only for a couple of sets of ladders. cheers
  19. thanks for that comanche, it makes you wonder how traps that dont do what they are supposed to get through the system and on the market.
  20. Has anyone tryed the Nooski rat trap Killgerm has a spring offer buy 1 get 1 free, was thinking of trying a few
  21. i`ve only got £1450 to go then, but am ordering all my wasp kit from them in the next couple of weeks so should get me abit nearer this brings up a question i was thinking of asking what do people think of the ninja wand for wasps as i`m just waying up which stuff to get (this is my first season doing wasps)
  22. :realmad: It makes no difference at all what wood you use because you can black your thumb with any wood. i was just saying that if he is going to make one then i think it is best to make it out of something hard and resilient that can cope with the pressure and shouldnt split you can black youre thumb with any y style catapult without a wrist brace be it wood or metal (if youre not careful)
  23. i`ve just opened an account with killgerm and they seem really helpful it looks like they do lots of good day courses and i think some are free to which is good has anyone done their wasp course
