my mate is a very good shot with a gun, but if you can hit a fast moving dog at 70 yards plus with a shot gun come and have a go yourself !!!!!! no wonder it wasnt killed at that range, or was it a punt gun

i made the mistake of putting 13 moles in the wheelie bin earleir in the week (i bury them at my smallholding normally) and i have regretted it the last few days havent been able to open a back window for the bloody stink of em :sick: , they dont take long to start getting ripe in this weather just got two off a job that i set yesterday and they stink already.

i breed light sussex and have got 22 4 week old poults at the mo, i could bubble wrap some and post them first class to you if you dont want a long drive

smell and flys not a problem with some basic cleaning out, just keep your eyes open for rats and mice which if you have chickens you will get at some point. -

if you just want them for eggs then a hybrid will do they lay more and eat less than a traditional breed. i had some black rock hybrids once which are a first cross and they were good layers and quite hardy to. -

i`ve got a hilux double cab, i do the school run, pest control, smallholding, delivering logs all sorts of stuff and it has never let me down have just had an ifor williams canopy put on to lock up my pest control stuff when i`m not in sight of the vehical and keep it dry it now is the ultimate tool for the job(i just need some good tyres)

do you have to have training to use poison on permissions? and if so wheres the best place to get it/how much is it? thanks guys i suppose it depends on wether you are getting paid as its then not just your own domestic use. i did my course on safe use of rodenticides when i was i keeper which was over 15 years ago (i must do a refresher soon) but essex and kilgerm do day courses for about -100 quid i think. but remember if you start doing it for pay even when your qualified you should have insurance too. ok i am a killgerm customer a i have looked into their courses, i might

sorry forgot to say that for spacing of bait points i put them about 10-15 metres apart outside and inside it would depend on what is in the shed roomwise i mean but maybe a little closer if possible where most of the signs are

i find that if there is other food availible to rodents i get a better take with the gel type baits pasta or peanut oils theres lots of different types availible is there a water supply for them he could try liquid bait stations, but as stubby said it can take a couple of weeks two start getting a good take
