  1. When checking some traps yesterday I discovered these having a last feed.......
  2. It's just the media exagerating again! Any Muslim will tell you that islam is a peaceful religion. .................................................. :whistling:
  3. It is mil dot, but it's 3-9x40 not 50 as originally advertised. It's 1'' tube with mounts.
  4. They're beautiful tasting. Ever since I was a kid, whenever I was trout fishing any Eels I caught were cooked and eaten first. IMO though, jellied Eels just taste of, well, jelly!
  5. I'll check as soon as I get home, but I think it's mil dot.
  6. Hawke sport HD 3-9x40 AO IR riflescope. Brand new, with mounts, in box, £50 + P+P
  7. Gutted, skinned, then cut into bite sized pieces and lightly fried in butter.............Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  8. Would it matter? Cheers, D. must be auto focus....lol On receiving his notice, the dyslexic camera designer said 'I did wonder why anyone would want a button that would make the camera outa focus
  9. You know as well as I do if that's the stance the police take there will be more sabs getting shot than badgers! Well, in an ideal world we should tackle the biggest pests and threats to public safety/interests first Though I think we all know what kind of stance would actually be taken by the authorities, and that any licensed shooter putting so much as a foot out of line will have the book thrown at him. And any sab charged with criminal damage, assault etc, will get a slap on the wrist and told to behave in future.
  10. Many a true word is said in jest.............................. By day they're just two 'ordinary' has been celebrities: But as darkness falls they like to dress up and play:
  11. That's one of the most worrying things. The antis and media would have a field day, regardless of whose fault it was. And I think there'll be plenty (IMO one is too many) willing to sabotage any cull, whether they're out in the fields or researching where the shooters live, and publicising their details.
  12. It's won't simply be a case of disrupting the cull. The things that would cause me concern are: Idiots creeping about at night where they shouldn't be (some who'd willingly place themselves between a shooter and Badger). They'll likely class any vehicle they see parked in gateways or woodland edges, as belonging to people involved in the cull, and consider those as 'fair game'. Someone (probably dressed like a terrorist) approaching a legitimately armed man/woman whose out deerstalking, Rabbit shooting etc, and attempting to 'apprehend' them. The list could go on and on, and quite frankly
  13. While I'm in fully in favour of a cull, I feel sorry for the people carrying it out, and any other legitimate shooters in the cull areas. There's going to be countless ignorant and stupid people sneaking about the countryside at all hours, doing anything and everything they can to save a cuddly little Brock.. This is an extract from one of their sites: We will be out in the fields before and during the cull, stopping and making citizen’s arrests on marksmen/women when we can, filming, rescuing injured badgers and neutralizing bait points when we find them. If ever there was an accident wait
  14. Where I can get a (good quality) flip open scope cover for a 56 mm objective lens? I recently tried a butler creek, and it snapped at the hinge when I unslung the rifle and it no more than brushed against a small branch. Far too flimsy for my liking.
  15. Like it It doesn't have to be all sunshine and blue skies to appreciate the outdoors.
  16. And in summer, leave the string vest and kilt at home
  17. :hmm: I wonder if the people who keep making up stories about 'terrorists' killing innocent people are the same ones who tell us that Foxes kill Lambs, Game Birds and domestic pets. And that badgers don't only eat Worms and Slugs.............. So, next time any of you 'keepers discover carnage in your pens, with beheaded corpses strewn around, don't be too quick to blame our furry or feathered friends R.I.P all the victims of terrorism the world over.
  18. More Dragonflies. Common Darter Male. Common Darter female.
  19. Typical waste of time and money - All the council cut backs accross the country, and they're still prepared to sit in a car listening to Dogs barking!
  20. 'Where the f**k were you last night?' Sh***ing some little slut again I bet! No, honest I was on my way home and saw all these people looking at some strange lights in the sky, so I stopped to see what was going on Don't tell f***ing lies, I tried ringing you and the 'phone was off!! . I swear I'm telling the truth, the lights must've somehow drained my 'phone battery. Well how the f**k is it working now?? It was only when I pointed the phone at the lights..... ............................. PRICELESS :clapper:
  21. Did he say why the cases were splitting? Wasn't the problem of the hmr cases splitting, put down to the fact that the necks have to be cold formed after the priming compound is inserted? If so then, the hornet being centrefire, should be able to have the neck formed normally. Will speak to him again, apparently a Hornady problem ????? Not that I'm thinking of getting one but It'll be interesting to find out. If it is a Hornady problem I doubt they'll be keen to admit it.
