According to this 2 hours should've been enough : Tortoise Shell and Chicken Bone Soup with Walnut Kernels Ingredients Tortoiseshell 30g, shin bone of black chicken 2, walnut kernels 10, salt to taste. Preparation 1. Crack the tortoiseshell and chicken bones, and place in a pot with an adequate amount of water. Stew over a low fire for approximately 2 hours. 2. Add the walnut kernels and salt and continue to stew until the walnut kernels become soft. Add more salt to taste and serve.

It looks worse than it probably is. follow whippet 99's advice and it should be ok soon. Barbed wire's an occupational hazard I'm afraid. I've lost count of the injuries my Dogs have suffered on wire over the years, and I've had two killed on it. I hate the stuff.

Lead acid batteries don't develop any memory effect. It's liable to be a short circuit or a faulty battery.

i have purchased two off flea-bay and at £120 each they are good from the results so far , get the latest ones that dont give out any infra red that can be detected by animals , both two legged and four legged i also went for a walk with the night vision and could not even spot where they were placed with that so there is definately no glow from the flash Those cameras will give out infra red, but it'll be invisible to humans, and the reason you couldn't see the glow with your NV will be because the camera IR is a different wavelength than the NV is capable of detecting. Do you feed your dogs before you work them ? I don't think you can really compare Dogs and Ferrets in this. Even different breeds of Dog. For example, feeding say a terrier before it went bushing, would be unlikely to cause many problems for the Dog. But feeding a Lurcher or Greyhound before a coursing session could be fatal. About comparing ferrets and dogs i agree but in my opinion no dog should be worked on a full stomach.would you like to have your dinner then go and do a full days work ? I wouldnt. how can it be natural if its imported Do you mean native? no, the disease is believed to have arrived in the uk from imported ash from the continant. so its not a natural occurrence in the uk, That's right, all of the previous caes have been traced back to imports, but the recent findings are believed not to be from imported saplings.

As socks says, years ago it used to be fairly common practice to work them hungry, and many people thought they wouldn't work properly if they'd been fed recently. In my experience a ferret works just as keenly if it's had a feed as not, and is likely to spend less time with a kill.

never worked with defra , or the enviroment agency then put them on the general licence clued up arnt you I'm not quite sure what you're getting at there but if you're asking have I worked with those agencies, then the answer is yes, those and Natural England, week in week out, that's why I'm very familiar with what's required before they'll even consider granting licenses or consents . And to clarify my last sentence, that's just my own personal view - a simple and logical solution to a long running problem regarding a species which is currently afforded full legal protection

I saw this somewhere else recently, and apparently the stag limped away and was later found dead (hardly suprisingly) in some undergrowth. The rut's a funny thing, it reminded me a bit of some of the young bucks out in the pubs on the pull, getting a skinfull then trying to impress the girls by squaring up to blokes twice their size
