I took my younger brother out this evening for his first stalk on some new farmland and forest permission that was getting a serious hammering from the deer population, so the farmer wanted results so i took this Fallow spiker this evening, i wouldnt have shot a young deer like this otherwise, below are some pics of him and some trees that are getting a good beating, it was the nicest days ive ever been shooting, the ground was rock hard with frost and the wind was perfect. Shot him in the neck from around eighty yards,.243 85grain federal. he was dead before he knew we were there

I live in the midlands but have to head to the meath area for the reds its not to bad only about 3/4 of an hour from the house.. Thats the shot, we only have Fallow in my part of the country but theres the odd sika being seen and heard around! Would love to see some pictures, upload them onto photobook and post the link to them in this thread and we can see them?

Nice one man cheers, im gonna head up with the shot gun tommorow for a few hours and have a walk around, no rabbits there at all though, pity! -
Hi all, I was driving home this evening from an unsuccessful stalk, cold wet and miserable may i add!, and i was pulled over by a farmer who knew i was out hunting by my camo gear i had on,after a short chat about how the weather was etc he gave me permission to shoot on all his land, around 300 acres, most of it around a state owned forest he's also got a small forest plantation of his own on the grounds, maybe 15-20 acres, the deer he said are coming out on the side that his house is on and i cannot shoot them there because the house is pretty close and his wife would have a canary, but
