I've now got two Brittanys, having always had springers before. I think they are great dogs to work, provided you give them the right type of work to do. I haven't found them particularly difficult to train but they are slower to mature than springers so it just takes longer. I tend to sew mine on with fishing line. I don't normally stitch them to the dummy, preferring to be able to remove them if needed. If you're not planning on taking them off why not glue them on?
