Yeah, I could never buy anything out of them either! I struggled on with 6 crappy purse nets with giant white pegs made from old skirting board, if only things were that simple now!

What year would that catalogue be from fellas...? I remember many years when I was just a cub sending away a stamped addressed envelope for a similar looking catalogue from an advert in the back of the shooting times I think. The catalogue is long gone and it was so many years ago i wouldn't remember the name but that one looks suspiciously like it.

He has always produced top class stuff and always comes up with something new.

I've read a few of his books....there definitely enjoyable. Top 3 authors...... Books like their writers can be enjoyable for many different reasons....someone like Richard Jeffries from long ago was a phenomenal writer but his writing is at times very heavy plough...but he drops you right into it, you can almost smell the air he's walking in....but a couple of chapters at a time for me is plenty. There are many authors of sporting works over the years, probably too many to list...and there are many genuine classics, many, many good books and even recent years has saw some real

Some good parts in the book Neil but a lot of nonsense too...not the authors fault really he just took what he was told as truth. He's a nice man and did well putting the book together. He covered a part of the country and spoke to and interviewed several men who claimed to be involved in the rabbit trade in that area, they talked about snaring and the three of them couldn't set a mouse trap let alone a snare ...and came from farming families and were never involved with rabbits. There was only really one family involved in the rabbit trade in that area and the last of the men

I took my young bitch out for a couple of hours after it quitened down tonight. She missed some she should have caught and caught some she should have missed....a nice one lifted out of its seat and another went into a stream and she fished it out and retrieved it....she is 18 months old, learning the ropes.

I think it's a fantastic book....maybe an interview or two would have really finished it off but it's still very very good...it takes some serious work to put a written book together, I wouldn't even like to attempt the job of putting together something like that....the time, effort and miles put into it would far outweigh any gain... It's easy to forget that the first was nothing short of a ground breaker...real high speed action photos from high speed action dogs! It's not that long ago we had black and white posed shots accompanied by dreamed up stories of wonder dogs! Nothing like tha
