i have a fine batch of lophophera williamsii that sit on the windowsill all year round with no ill effects. stop watering now tru to march and tey should be fine.
  3. hav'nt read this whole thread so if i'm repeating something already written,i appologise. i have used ivomectin many times on terriers & bull terriers 0.1ml per 10lb body weight i.e 50lb dog would get 0.5ml 20lb dog 0.2 etc.never had any adverse reactions, great on worms & skin parasites, tho dose not touch tapes.it is toxic to collies so maybe not for some lucher crosses.
  4. had a hushpower up until last year, good little gun.used it for squirells and rabbits mainly, quite enough unless you put 3'' in it.al in all tho a good mooching and nightime gun.
  5. here's how i do it:get a 2liter demijon.(i find the one westons scrumpy comes in work a treat.) add 6oz of sugar + 1ltr of gin or vodka. then prick and add as many sloes as it takes to bring the liquid up to the top of the demijon. put in the airing cuboard and turn the bottle(top to tail)daily till all the sugar is disolved, then leave for a good few months.works well. one year done this with a rather fine batch of poitin never again lol.
  6. normal bit of string and collar cheap and works better than any slipping set up I've used or seen. Make you right there fella. make a loop in a bit of string big enough to get your hand thru, thread the other end thru the d ring of the collar then hold with fingers of the same hand, open hand when ready, hey presto! best slip lead i ever used...
  7. http://www.medicinenet.com/electrolytes/article.htm a link for you to peruse at your leisure, you may also want to use google to search the link with bi carbonate and the electolytes.i think you'll find it is present in,if not all, certainly the large majority of the shop bought ones. one last thing,if nobody you know uses this "concoction" and you have never witnessed the heart failure/spasms etc,how can you be so sure this "concoction" can cause these effects?it may very well be the case that large doses of pure bi carb may(tho don't quote me on it as i'm not sure).but here we are talking

  9. nothing to do with penny pinching, lectade, rebound etc are all good products and i don't believe i have advised not to buy them.i mearly answered the original question, which was,do you buy or make,i make, simply because the ingrediants in the above mentioned are very similar to what i make.and like i've stated,i have used mine for a good while with good results,so why change what aint broke?at the end of the day it's an individual decision.
  10. "well seeing as you havnt answered i will tell you "... f.ucking hell boy,i only made the post 12mins before your reply, not suprising i hav'nt answered is it,or am i to continuously watch the post incase someone replies? "whate does bi carbonate soda bring to the equasion ???" bicarbonate of soda is decomposed by the acids in the body/gut,neautralising them in the process,an antacid effect if you will,it will also aid in the depletion of lactic acid(thats the one that causes the cramps you talk of). "dont believe me go and put some in a glass of water and watch what happens ......
  11. 3 tablespoons of sugar. 1/2tsp(2.5ml)of salt. 1/2tsp(2.5ml)of bi carbonate soda. 1ltr of hot water. stir well to disolve, and allow to cool. have used this many a time & works wonders.
  12. rambo was owned by s staley from staffordshire,he was a k.c bedlington registered name "maverick of minkstone".there was alot of hype about this dog around the early/mid 90's.i owned a double bred grandson of his(my first & last bedlington)not my cup of tea to be honest.at the end of the day,it depends what you want a dog to do,and if you want a terrier for doing a real terriers job, then i'd say the beds are lacking.j.m.o.
