and what happens when a small blast of wind takes the round off target and it makes a hole through the jaw breaking it, rendering the animal unable to eat. yes ive seen foxs run when hit with a 22.250 but the chance is greatly reduced with a 22cf i have also shot a fox at 50yrd with a hmr in the head and its ran off. the round had not expanded, the fox was licking its nuts when i took the shot, it went in through the top of its head out the roof of its mouth through the side of its bottom jaw breaking it and then out. i finished it off with a 410 to the back of the ear, if it wasnt for the

i wouldnt keep workers in the house with kids full stop for a couple of reasons , i would never trust a dog rounds young kids and the risk of the kids catching something.

wimp!!!! right you !! it was -5 the other night and my poor pinkys couldnt deal with the lamp, its ok for you lazy lampers who have the heater flat ( i would never dream of having the heater on) lol ive just purchased some wind stopper ones and will put a review up after a while

so hand on heart you can tell me you have never had a fox run after being hit with a 223 because i have . it didnt run far mind and was taken with a second shot . like i said i only head shoot with the hmr as it such a accurate little round anyway

thats what i have at the moment and they just get so cold so quickly , im getting more of a tart each year. i was thinking about some goretex motorbike ones but it would be nice to have something a bit thinner for the trigger finger

Well she is correct on the first point,and wrong on the second,I shot a dog fox the other night and it was huge,deffo some big uns about this year thats for sure. So 240 odd fpe to the cranium isn't enough to do the job on a fox? Curious. i must admit some of the dedicated fox lads do get 223 blind but you head shoot anything with the hmr its going down

i think different counties have different opinions on whats suitable , round here they say hmr is good for foxes but i personaly will only kill kill them with a headshot

thanks , all the ones ive taken lately seem to be a good size and mostly dogs aswell

seeings ive got a bit of catching up to do i went out tonight and took this fox at 120yards with a head shot. saw 4 tonight all curled up in warm spots in the middle of the fields but this was the only shootable one.
