    For me it would have to be 1 of the times i have been picking up at the shoots i go too. Most memorable for me was when my young lab had a great day at the woodcock, he got 5 over the course of the day that looked at 1 point we might not get. At the end of the day i heard the keeper say something to the guns( who were italian), He had said to them "that dog is worth its wait in gold". I had a smile from ear to ear Always a proud moment when your dog is working well especially when others are there to see it with you.

    My mistake FPO, how wrong of me to say that he uses pinchers when he breaks the moles backs. Must be a hell of fun for them getting there back broken. I see your point about illegal stuff and you are quite correct that no one wants to lose this great site but is it anybodys fault that there is a shitty ban? NO!!!!!!!!! Just because there is a ban doesn't mean you have to give up something that you love doing. Mole trappers comments were way of mark when he implied that people who use dogs to hunt were chavs and put them in the same circles as dog fighting.

    Seen this method a few years back and its pretty nifty. Birds have to be done fresh right enough or you start to pull legs of when they are cooled down.

    Spot on the tyres are the main part mate. I go for the B F Goodrich Mud Terrains everytime- 50000 miles you get out of them, no road noise and the biz of road.

    Cant believe you have never had any bother with the back end kicking out mate mines is crazy. I do have the big wide road tyres on right enough which is probably the problem. Also its only pick up style and it doesn't have any cab on the back so its quite light back there.

    how can being protective be a negative thing? would of thought that would be a good thing. Would be a good thing if you were getting attacked in your local park but if you are planning on using it beside other dogs then you might be left with a hefty vets bill or a vizsla with very sore ribs.

    I would go for a lab imo. Probably go for a bitch 1st as they seem to be less head strong than the dogs. Train it yourself because you could pay a bit of money for a trained dog and sometimes they still are not up to the job. Probably get pelters for saying this but i would steer clear from the vizsla' as SOME of them can be quite aggresive and very protective towards there owners.

    I have 1, the warrior model. Holds its own off road but i haven't done any 'serious' off-roading with it, i have a Landy for that. Pretty comfy motor to drive and looks the part as well. Would say bad points are fuel consumption, space in the back seats and in two wheel drive the back end tries its hardest to kick out alot.

    if you are wanting eggs then get them on layers pellets right away, if they are over 6 months then you should see some eggs within 2/3 weeks.

    Tell him he has no chance. The law at the moment for any type of firearm/shotgun license is nothing short of a joke. I run a game farm and have had a firearms licence for 10 years now and this year on trying to renew it they have said i cant because the piece of ground i have is not large enough to warrant a rifle license. It is now deemed to be unsafe yet for the last 10 years it has been ok.

    Hi Des its Steven here that has the game farm up the cults by kennoway. Funny finding you on the hunting life, its a small world. I see plenty of geese are in and hope your guys are getting a ggod crack at them.

    I've had this problem with a few local " keepers " round my way. They both threatened to shoot my dogs and invited I them to do exactly that to see what would happen. They both pussied out when told the score. I will however say this. It is usually always the syndicate shoot keepers/helpers who get on their high horse whining on about their poxy 1000 birds they put down ! Part time country squires and utter pricks ! I can tell from your post that you are obviously anti-keeper and that is up to you but the "poxy" 1000 birds that you mention could set somebody back between 3000/4000 pounds
