  1. If you want that one he will swap you for a nosh....
  2. Don't leave guts visible to anyone. They attract other vermin so either bury them or bag them and sling them in a suitable place that it will feed other wildlife BUT so that they will never be found by humans. If your place is keepered and the keeper is any good... the chance of the guts been "gone" over night by vermin or been eating by a carnivore is nil because the animals that would eat them will not be there anyways. People hate to see guts and mess, and it portrays a bad impression for fieldsports so be considerate in what you do with them. use the rule " The place looks as if I hav
  3. I am using Winchester subsonic and Eley Subsonic ( they are mixed together in the bullet box ). I have no preference as to ammunition between Winny's and eley "I rate them quite equal". I zero at 70 yards and use the mili dots on the recticle for greater distance and also close range. Thats why I use a scope with Multiple Aim Point reticles (MAP). I zero at this distance as most farms I go to the rabbits are quite spooky so you ain't getting many shots under 70 yards. Ideally if you are shooting rabbits on land where the rabbits are not that spooky and sit nice 50 to 60 yards is ample to
  4. The lad mentioned that the pure wild one is still with the lad he got this one from. If you want I will give you his number and you can ask him the finer details.
  5. Hello. This is a first cross wild polecat. It is the offspring from a wild polecat to a working polecat. It belongs to a friend of mine so if anyone is interested please PM me and I will pass you his direct phone number so you can speak to him. 6. Thats exactly as I see this rifle " a workhorse", just like a joiner needs a hammer I need a .22. Its a tool of a trade ( some have chosen the hrm177 above this gun ) but "call me old fashioned" I love this gun and always have. I have always had a Brno and this CZ is just the revamped / renamed version. I have tried and used most rifles available but for practicality and bullet pricing I have to say the CZ is my overall number 1 gun for making money. I need to keep it cost efficient and economical (seems I do this for a living). Thanks Steve
  7. Thanks for all the great comments. I have the Rabbit control with a .22 on this site This topic here Thanks again Steve

  11. Hello. I am accumulating footage on a daily basis, I have lots at the moment but I am looking for them"special moments" I suspect that the first DVD will be ready in 3 - 4 weeks if everything goes to plan. The Ratting DVD is near complete but I would like the mixed content DVD to be released first as it will give the viewer a taste of what I do and the overall quality of the video's. The moment they are complete and have been analyzed and criticized by some close friends they will be in the DVD sales section on my Internet site. I will also pop a quick post on here to inform all interest
  12. Hello mate. Haven't seen you for a while, hope your OK I was just thinking of you today, I was going to pop over and have the crack. Speak to you soon Colin, all the best Steve
  13. I intend to produce a mixed content film at first covering various aspects of fieldsports so that it will not become repetitive. I agree...People can become bored and feel the need to fast forward or stop the DVD, the footage should be interesting so that the viewers concentration span does not come to an end. BUT...some enthusiasts do like to have the subject that interests them "drawn out" a bit longer. I will do my best and have it reviewed by the lads before it goes out for sale. Thanks
  14. You do not cut the rabbit at all. You begin to grip the rabbit close to the front legs and work down towards the rear end keeping hands close together pushing everything out the rear end. After you have been doing it for a while you will be able to get the liver, all the guts and kidneys out all in one action.(practice makes perfect) Just like on the video clip. I show this in more detail on the main DVD which I am working on. The advantages are ...speed, (less mess), no chance of nicking guts with a knife, and no need to get your hands thick of blood and guts, flies don't infest the insid

  18. I do actually, I am currently working on a lurcher DVD, it will be bolting rabbits for lurcher's, lamping and daytime rabbit control with the lurcher's etc: Just waiting for the right conditions and when the rest of the fields get cut so we can get out for the footage. I am also working on a stalking DVD, and shooting with shotguns, rabbits ..pigeons ..phesants etc: Thanks Steve
  19. Clips were over a 2 day period, 27th and 29th June. So the pheasants and partridge are natural. Not close to stock, plenty of room maybe looks like that on camera. The camera is not behind the gun it is showing a different angle than that the bullet takes. Shots do not ricochet off walls ...thats the head shots "brains leaving the rabbits heads". Like you say nothing for miles around. Safety is my number 1 priority, I consider my self quite experienced and I always assess the safety aspect before the shot. Steve
  20. Thanks I appreciate it Steve
