Interests
Walking in the hills of Angus with my posse, usually the hoonds and my kids, lamping. I'm also into ferrets I was founder member of the Sussex Ferret welfare society in 1980 and it still exsists, my cofounders Duncan McArthur, Ian Tansly, and Ian Lund ain't in it any more! I do a bit of sea fishing and I like shooting grey squirrells .

BedlingtonXGreyhoundxgreyound before bull breeds became the latest 'thing' we used Bedlington crosses Bedlingtons know no fear they hunt silent and the only reason I'd go for the extra Greyhound ist to give the cross a little more height and weight, if you realy wanted to go mad substitute the greyhound for a greyhoundx Scottish Deerhound , that cross'd take all your stuff and Santas Reindeer too!
-
Personaly I'd be walking that pup everywhere where there are rabbits keeping him on the lead though.

Greyhoundx Deerhoundx greyhound as you're after Deer might as well do the properjob!

Good picture, last year there were four Hares in the field across the road from where I live, a stray Akita went in the field and started chasing them around till the owner of the dog arrived and then some nice police ladies who said that Hares were vermin so they couldn't do anything anyway! I managed to hold meself back from letting the old girl have ago, the farmer is one mean barsteward, and probably didn't shoot the Akita cos he didn't have a big enough gun!

Irish 'Gypsies' don't speak Romany their 'native' tongue is erse or galic Ted Walshs' book 'Lurchers and longdogs' is a better read, these doggie sites and their magazines are a bunch of nonsense. I'd buy the dog to get it away from these halfwits.

NO! if you wanted to pay over bloated K.C. prices you could still get you're expensive puppy working, but why bother? you can pick up peds and non peds for less money, breeders ruin breeds by their adherence to badly interpreted rules. The K.C merely set a standard, and the so called expert judges do the rest. that being said my first Whippet was awarded first place in a hunt supporters show despite having lost part of his ear in a fight with a barbedwire fence! the picture is my new nonped racing whippet It's ok buying a non ped but do you actually know what size the pups going to be?

get em used to ferrets now give the dog loads of road work that'll sort out the stamina issue. I heard that someone trained a Saluki to retreive once huh! the things you hear! I'd need to see that to believe it!!! Aye! me'n a'! Did you read it in one of them old poaching books? Boy do they exaggerate in them............ Yes it might have been, let me think, oh yes it was called 'tales of a lying old b*****d who cornered a gullible twat in a pub once' I think

Before the ban I took the odd fox I prefer shooting them any way, but to tell you the truth I never have known a dog that didn't go tits at the smell of a fox let alone the sight of one

Is she too old, or did I go too hard?
adrianvygus replied to Pembshunter's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Six years old for a Whippet is not old, as has been said before loads of steady road work, if you have a sandy beach near by that'd be a good place to build up stamina. -
the head is a bit labby looking those ribs are from a saluki corse its from America a'things bigger over there it's done murder on that telegraph pole! gi' the poor b*****d a pie!

advice for a pup showing no interest
adrianvygus replied to twosey's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
As far as the age goes mostly I agree with every one else however the build part The Whippet bedlington part of your dog don't put on weight is he rough or smooth? you might have just inherited the 'Skinny gene' that I believe more than likely comes from the Bedlington part of the mix. I bred Whippetx whippetxgreyhound xBedlingtonxgreyhounds and I could never get them to put on weight.
