    i went for a quick mooch with a pal of mine just local to me sticking to footpaths which were through fields, letting the dogs use there noses and just generally keep themselves entertained until we started walking on a farm track so put all the dogs and pups on leads as a tractor was coming behind us,, walked past the farmhouse and a couple of fields over cut down a hedge line in a field and there was a rabbit just sat on the edge of the thick grass, let my 13 month old buddy pup off the lead and rabbit bouced in the hedge with dog quickly following suit,, rabbit then bounced out again with d

    had my 13 month old for his first night lamping last week, was able to get him a couple of squatters and even standing right on top of them he didt seem interested. but went for a mooch then next day and he picked up his first rabbit,, he isnt the sharpest tool in the box so will probably just take a bit longer to switch on but there isnt any rush yet still early in the season

    i can trace the lines of 2 of my dogs back to the early 1900s but thats from there sire side and him being a pure saluki and can go a fair way back on the dams side aswell but all you need is 5 generations really

    to be fair the lining was done just to keep the old blood going in my opinion, i never seen seagull run was probably still shitting green when she was around, its the bices firstlitter and the sire is a very well bred dog and was still doing his job last year at 9 years old in fields,, any pup is a chancy pup, people say that seagull wasnt a masterpeice but look at what the bitch produced in the likes of foxy, nipper, snowy, then from them you get the likes of casper, barney benji peggy, with what she produced and what her offspring have produced putting 2 solid sets of blood together isnt

    Lol,, yeh mine has one of those little welcome mats....... It's a good point though,,, I'm lucky,,or perhaps unlucky as I don't have an outdoor run,,, there in an old out house,,, with a raised bed mine are the same old outhouse where my washing machine is on a raised bed,, doesnt matter where they are aslong as its clean and warm

    sponge from my old couch cushions chopped up at the minute but they just rip it to bits and ends up in the yard, the 3 big ones sleep together and keep themselves warm, winter time depends on how bad the weather is,, if its too extreme they will be in the kitchen with a couple of old duvets and back out throughthe day, if you havent gt the luxury of heated kennels you can only give them what you have,
