  1. I would have thought that because the foam takes a while to expand it wouldnt be able to expand along the tunnel quick enough and would expand upwards and lift the turf, i maybe wrong ?
  2. 2 more young shot today all killed with .177 AA410 seemed to do better than the .22, i think thats the lot from the warren under the shed but still some about in other gardens and rear alley so its down to trapping i think.

  9. Another one this morning and one this evening 3 to go, also put a little nipper type trap out and got some Fenn mk4s on their way. They are not interested in the Monarch live traps i have baited. Sidebyside my son is just 24 so he's got a lot of growing up to do

Shot an adult rat week before last and filled the warrens in under the concrete base of the shed, came home on Friday and my son said we have some doormice in the garden, i started to make a cuppa on looking out the window saw 2 young rats rushed upstairs got the .22 AA410 took a shot from bedroom window and missed. Son took pics before i got home, shot 1 on sat morning 5 more to go. Now baiting them with peanut butter on a brick (so they stay with it) and got a couple of live traps out.

  15. Are you sure they are solid ? they sound like the ones i got for the garden, hollow metal covered in green plastic, and they snap and bend easy.

  18. If you are going to paint on galvanised, local paint shop and i think its called Eames and coat with that first it gives a key for the paint, i used it on a live catch fox trap.

  21. ok thanks a lot but really how much harder is a drop net ?? A very rough guide A drop net consists roughly of metal poles, bottom of nets tied to metal rings (sliders) that slide down the poles, and a cord which is attached to pins that go through holes in the upright poles support the sliders, rabbits out in the fields the cord is hidden away so you can pull it without the rabbits seeing you, the pins are pulled out of the poles and the bottom of net drops into position (top of net fixed) rabbits are then driven into the net.
