    Mine packed up a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be one of the connections on the speaker came adrift, i soldered it back on but now the clicking fades.

    Not my idea ( Glenn Walters) but use crow feathers with a piece of wire in the quill end and place them edge on where they cant be seen from roads or footpaths.

    Just copied this from another forum Hi Guys I've just picked up http://rothbury.journallive.co.uk/2010/02/this-weeks-poll-question-is.html story from google. It seems that there are some rabid antis voting like mad on there to stop the control of grey squirrels. If you can vote in favour of culling, and publicise the poll on other forums etc it would be good. Sorry did'nt see this alreay posted

    Well yesterday afternoon saw me at the Mole again at 2pm (which had dropped about 2 feet but still pushing) and at 2.30 i had a hard fighting 9lb 8oz Barbel in the net, stayed in that swim till 5 and moved to another, then homeward bound at 6.30 without another bite.

    Dont cut the drawcord just undo the knot and pull it through to the tangle, remove the tangle and rethread, job done.

    Yesterday saw me at the River Mole in Surrey again, the river was still in flood, i arrived at 3pm but never had a bite till 4.45 nearly dark and landed a 5lb 2oz chub and then decided to move swims. Just over an hour later i cast into a tree above and got a load of stick off my mate, retied another hook this time a microbarb as the previous evening i lost a fish in the dark with barbless hook through giving it slack when it went into snags, ten minutes later rod bangs round and ended with a loverly 13lb 2oz barbel to finish the evening off, both fish caught on Spam.
