Frank i did the same with my batteries mate. Even if you swop the batteries round in the collar and then close it. IT runs the batteries down but doesnt send out the signal. Im sure the batteries last for 330 hours or something mate.

Me an my mate went out ferreting last weekend and got 2 Rabbits out of a small three holer. Went back seven days later the dogs marked up. Caught one and missed 2 out of a bolt hole size of a worm hole.

in my opinion the dog is a important to you when you go ferreting. they will mark up for you. catch rabbits that have slipped nets etc. pin rabbits down in nets. Just take the dog a few times ferreting he should get the hang of it

if i remember correctly, i was watching a wildlife programme a few month back. And the presenter was commenting that foxes only live to two years old in the wild, but when in captivivity up to fourteen years old

i dont't know about the damp weather, but it seems to of hit hard everywhere nearly. Well i went ferretind today and six rabbits bolted out of the same hole . None of them seemed to have mixxy.
Get a few frosts it might quiet it down a bit. But the season doesn't look too promising for me
