    My God, they should be kicked off immediately. I suppose you could put up a lot of barbed wire! In fact, could you use geese as guards? Just let them roam through the allotment, and have small fences around the beds? You cant keep chickens or geese or ducks there because they kill them, a friend of mine who had an alloment there had all the heads pulled off his chicks.     The allotments in my area have a lot of empty plots and their only £12 a year!!!! The plots are huge... the problem you get is that there are certain people who have plots there that steal from and destroy the other plots so no one want to put in the hard work. These people arent kids, their 40+ year old men who arent wanting to grow up, our council just isnt concerned enough to do anything about it either.

    No offence kiddo but do you think someone will want to use your dog when your throwing your teenage angst about the place, i dont think it would matter to any of these extremly experianced MEN what your dog can or cant do now.     I claim dole as you say, and i have never worked..... i agree with all but one of your points. I have been ill since before i was old enough too work, its not fun trying to get by on next to nothing, and i wish i could go to work, but disabilities stop me, perhaps a more stricter ruling on how people get benefits would be better as i know a few people who claim dla and have a job on the side (which is pathetic since i know someone who is severly disabled who has been turned down over and over).     Ive lost power for about 9 hours, and mine hatched okay.... i find that putting a towel or something over the incubator helps keep the heat in.

    think someone was having a crappy day.... i'll be honest, i personally have never met a "decent" gypsy and i live not 500 yards from two different families who would pinch your eyes if you weret looking, doesnt mean to say i dont think that there are no decent gypsies though. My other half spent a lot of his younger days with what he says are proper gypsies, and he reckons that their very loyal people, and dont like it if another from their area were to blacken their reputation. He also tells me that the ones wo live close to us are not proper gypsies which brings me to a question for you all.

    feck me, deppends on who is holding the pen, Personally i think it doesnt matter who writes the book so long as its entertaining, interesting, factual and you can learn something from it. I have read Picknshovels book, and considering i dont like the whole digging thing i found it rather good. I havent read anyone elses so i have no basis for comparison. I will be looking at getting some though!

    I find yaught varnish is brilliant for preserving wood, it being meant for wood in constant contact with water. They look good though.
