  1. I've always preferred bitches too, chose him cause my GSD bitch is more likely to feel challenged by a bitch. very true i also know i wouldnt be able to resist that face in a rescue centre
  2. very contructive infomation off you that ... the person has a disability , you dont have a clue what it is or what this person has to deal with on a daily basis because it hasnt been mentioned , the dog maybe just to much for them , and maybe best within another home , and there trying to do there best by the dog . HH how rude i agree with everything that hpool hunter said...............what a tw*t
  3. my terrier pup used to be like that, never chewed but burgled the bin and ate any food that was left out.....so she is now put in the crate whenever iam not there and is much much less hyper...forgot to mention i also changed her food from a bakers (full of adatives and sugar) to a working dog mix, but plan to put her on to chappie dry mix as it is very similar to james wellbeloved (according to the james wellbeloved rep) but alot cheaper the only diffrence is james well beloved used better cuts of meat but neither contain adatives or sugar so i would recomend changing his diet he looks
  4. im suposedly already covered by the countrysdie alliance!
  5. asked my bests mates dad if i could have permision on there land but her mother isnt keen because of insurance or somthing, has anyone else had this problem? iam also a member of the countryside alliance and i know i get some sort of insurance with that does it cover me? i already have permision on a livery yard so i would have thought the insurance would be higher on there than a farm anyhoo very confused here
  6. for old fashioned sweets this is a great site....had a gift box off them....parmer violets, sherbert dipers, space dust, love hearts.....all the sweets you can remember from when you were a kid are on this site i love it http://www.keepitsweet.co.uk/catalog/index...CFQsyQgodBHUYqA (edited to correct spelling mistake)
  7. Agree with you 100% there matey. It only costs £5 for a small animal consultation at my local vets, that's feck all to pay so you can at least find out what's wrong with the ferret in the first place. i agree but i do no someone who had to wack a kit over the head because it was never quite right and couldnt walk properly so he just put it out its misery
  8. i take no credit....was all the dog i just give the commands.....so well done jess
  9. they can bring back hunting if they like but the ban is a unenforcable law so to me...........they can do what they please
  10. thank you for your advice, she pulls and it does my head in as my arm gets tired when were lamping but im not going to discourage her, she stops pulling when the lamp is on...and thats one of the reasons i decided against getting anouther lurcher as i can hardly hold one never mind two.....she dont do it when im taking her out on our daily walks so i presume shes just keen im just going to let her pull as to not discourage her and do a bit of weight lifting to strengthen my arm
  11. busy speaking to someone about getting a good deal, went to some shops and they were all very expensive compared to what i had seen on the internet so going to try and do that registered mail thing where you send the cash
  12. i ususally strip both my terriers as i like them to look nice and neat (although i have left ones hair wild,i will post pics later), it is beneficial in keeping them cooler i think
  13. two horse rugs, sheep skin blanket, and a pink blanket all pilled up.......she loves it but does get smelly so needs lots of washing........the blankets are childrens blankets from carboots and charity shops i also have a big bed in the house that the lurcher and two terriers lie on and that was £3.50 from my local market
  14. my lurcher pulls like hell when she sees somthing on the lamp....should i let her do it or pull her back? she doesnt pull on the lead at all when on a walk!
  15. we shot one last month with a full belly of pups which i think she would of dropped in a couple of weeks time....so mid febuary is the earliest ive seen so far

  22. before anyone starts this is my personal opinion personally i dont plan to breed my lurcher til she is about 4-5ish and that will only if she prooves herself to be a good dog on all (legal ) quarry
  23. i personally like bitches....mainly because it freaks me out when mail dogs get turned on when you stroak them but my lurcher bitch is very loyal to me but my patterdale bitches arnt were as my boyfriends patterdale dog is.....think it just depends on there personality
