    women and working dogs like chalk and cheese yer right ok !!! dont judge us all i have nothing against women hunters at all, but they come on here not all of them try to put sexy little pics of them selves with abbit of clevage and want to be given the same respect as, they winge about silly little things like there dog puts it back feet on the fence most young dogs do it when learning some dogs get cut some don't thats part of the working life. if they want a cute sighthound get a italion greyhound there for proper hunters oops!! big time at fence hopper i have been told

    i was just about to book my dog in as now have a little spare cash, then read that post about the dog getting its ears cut off not far from me and now ive been put off

    that really does put the fear of gos in to me as its not that far from me ...i have decided against getting my lurcher tatooed now as i would rather never have her back than somthing like that happening to her, so microchip it is

    ah very true,never thought of it like that, we have a lot of "typical sheep fencing" and i would rather go home with a empty bag then have anything happen to her

    you will just have to get over it, im sure by the time the dog jumps a little more you will have more confidance in her and loose your girlie fear lol i know but shes like a child to me, going to go for the plunge....do you think if i tryed her over a loose barb wire fence and tied it down then made it higher and higher would be a good idea or should i just leave it and see what happens

    my first,polly the patterdale, she is 5 at the end of this year, bred by my auntie i picked her when she was less than a week old and wouldnt change her for the world, the spitting double of her mother but with A stronger head

    as it says i have been practicing jumping with my lurcher but everytime she puts her feet on the top of the fence even with a run up and i have been practicing with her over a wire (not barb wire) fence.....any help anyone as im scared she might hurt her feet on a barb wire one when out lamping

    sounds to me like shes a bit stiff......like you have been to the gym after not going for a couple of years, its going to hurt the next day for a couple of times....try working on her fitness

    thank you for tyhe advice, have found a forum for advice and have decided to go for a "RCOM suro" would have a broody hen but my mother is frightened to death of chickens

    did she get a fright last time she was to ground? too much to young although iam no profesional, if it was my dog i would let the older dog do the work for a couple times and hold her back giving the other dog all the attention, let her get a little jealous and see how it goes

    i have seen someone do the "karate chop" method before and when done correctly, although i prefer the neck pull method myself, is just as humane as the neck pull method

    so do you feed your dogs on a dry, raw or anouther type of diet? i currently feed her on a mixed diet of raw whole rabbit, a complete lurcher dry food and raw knuckle bones as a weekly treat to keep there teeth nice

    just for any one my age who doesnt think college is there thing or has just finished or dropped out of college...the best move you can make is going and arranging a connextions meeting.....i dropped out of college because i hated it then was like SH*T what do i do now, they are now putting me on a learning cause for two 1/2 days a week even though i dont qualify for EMA i get it anyway and they are getting me work experince/ potentially a aprentaship working on the grounds of the natinal trust.....so any young people who dont know what they want to do and are really stuck i highley recomend go

    great photos, lovley dogs but i dont understand lurcher shows for example in a bitch under 25" class there could be a colliex, a bullx,deerhoundx,salukix....pretty much any cross....so isnt it down to personal prefrance? and does the dogs looks affect its work?
