    I whent up today at 8pm and set 20 snares, I'll go back tommorow around 10am and see what I have. How do you guys dispose of the rabbit once dead?

    Ok I'm back. I did get one! Only one rabbit, but I set the snares at 12.30 and whent back at 6pm so They were not down long, I'm going to set them tommorow at about 4pm and leave them over night, So I'll let you all know how I get on. None of the snares other than the caught one seemed to of been looked at, none had been moved, pushed etc.

    It's infested with rabbits, I've put them on the runs that look well used, they had fresh droppings, so hopfully there should be some.

    Total noob questions 1. Do the snares kill the rabbits or do I do that when I go back? 2. Best time to set them? dusk till dawn, or dawn till dusk? 3. How high from the ground should the snares be? 4. What non targetted animals am I likely to catch/hurt? 5. Where sells snares? I've seen a few sites but can't remember them(I dont want to make my own). Thanks.

    Whats the longest range some of you guys rifels do? cleanly I saw a video on youtube from the hunting life that seemed such a long way away.

    Hi. I bought an SMK Mod 20. I took it out and have gotten about 7 rabbits. I do have a few questions: 1. Whats the maximum range I should be shooting them from? On targets I've been able to get accuratly in a head sized area from 45 meters but when I did this on a rabbit it ran off, I'm sure it would of been hit, would it be a case theres not enough power from this range to kill the rabbit? -- 2. Is there anyway to draw the rabbits out quicker? any bait or decoys etc? -- 3. Any tips on gettng close enough, or drawing them out?

    I let this topic die some time ago. But am now back looking into a gun for rabbits. How much is the cheapest I could get an air riffel for to kill them off? It needs to be very clean kills, so slighly more power than nessary would be an advantage. Also.... Where should you be shooting them to get a clean kill? lungs behind front legs, or head?

    My fields are now mole free for two months, I think that's the end of them. 14 moles in just 2 acers! and to think, I thought I just had 1 or 2.

    Have you been getting traps set off with no mole? or just not interaction with the traps at all? If you getting no interaction(apart from the dead one), your proberly putting the traps in the wrong place.

    Well I do disagree with this site a lot. "21,339 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens instead of finding homes for them." I'm sure they do, after failing to find homes for them, just the same as most other rescue organsations. At the end of the day, it's not the fault of the rescue centre, it's the fault of the scum bag that abused/threw out the 21,339 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.

    They do seem a little pointless. Great idea for a trap, but why pay that much for a trap that only catches one rat per set, when a 99p one will do the same.

    Anyone know where I can get some effective rat traps, that would be as cheap as possible? Is there any food rats will eat but mice wont? Thanks.

    "i dont see how a mole can become trap shy.........a mole will only ever be trapped once, so will never be familiar with a "trap"." Well the sound of a trap going off without catching, or even a mole getting caught and escaping(if the trap just hit very far back).

    I think it's also worth remembering they have very little to fear in their tunnels, preditor wise, so they're going to be pritty confident.

    I don't think they ever learn to be honest. It seems you can fail 10 times and on the 11th it would walk straight to it's death.
