  1. Belated Happy Birthday Hannah - hope you had a good day
  2. I love the first three pics, and it's so good to see kids out and about in the countryside. You're giving them a great start in life Seems like they have so much energy though... have you considered a treadmill?
  3. ner... Actually my other half has a Sigma 150-500 and I have to admit that it gives my 100-400L a good run for its money and for the price I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one (if (big IF) you can find a good one) But he does use it on a Nikon, have no idea how they perform on a Canon...
  4. Just how many pylons are there in Staffordshire?
  5. nice shots Snap I love the woodland path too
  6. Excellent shots in spite of the "just a Nikon" Your windows are cleaner than mine too!
  7. I dunno... those rattly old Nikon lenses... Never had a problem with zoom noise frightening any animals although the other half's D700 shutter sounds like a machine gun going off sometimes! Lovely pics LG, he's a fine looking animal
  8. Whats HDR mean High Dynamic Range Don't go there... HDR
  9. nice shots Kay, I love the deer ones. Some of them are a bit dark though... snow tends to confuse the camera's metering so you might find you sometimes need to over-expose by a stop, specially if you want to get some detail in the dark areas, like the cattle. If possible taking several shots at different exposures (bracketing) is a good idea because you can then merge the images together and you'll find there is less degradation of the image when you try and pull the details out of the shadows.
  10. Yes it would be so nice if there was one tiny section of the site where people could actually be polite to one another and behave like sensible adults... If you think a photo could be better, it's a good idea to say why, and how you think it could be improved, not just say it's "wank" or whatever.
  11. Cracking shots, no. 1, 6 & 7 are brilliant The pup is looking great, but I'll bet he was shivering!!!
  12. I don't have one, but a friend often carries one around with him as an alternative to his heavy DSLR kit, and he loves it! Image quality is very good and it's quite well-built.
