on the other hand we brought a supposed to be good dog from liverpool over here it didnt want to know ater the 1st run with a cut leg[bigger cut shaving]it got dropped of in dundalk camp with the travelling men. not nice to be droping off dogs never hear the oul saying never look a gift horse in the mouth. if the dog was no good was not much of a gift

listen banner we are all in that boat with commitments and familys but if you travel from one side of Ireland to the other it would nearly cost you the same thing,no man should knock across the pond until you have tried it once you get the bug I can promise you be counting the days till you get back

don't think any body saying all English dogs are good ,good and bad where ever you go for years in the greyhound world the best of breeding was from Ireland,the same with coursing dogs people moved with the times and put better traits in there dogs,let me say this adog and bitch were gifted to my dad they were called midnight and ink anybody that knew these dogs knew they could run,we lined both of them she had 11 pups and they would not catch a hare in a horse box,

we had dogs years ago could kill hares anywhere in Ireland,brought them to England got blown to bits ,as for English dogs running over here all our line of dogs are English and belive me they can kill them anywhere,and of course there is some parts of England that have weak hares the same as Ireland,dead of winter on the fens when the dogs paws are 4 times the size with mud stuck to them that's when you truly test your dogs and let no man tell you different

we were lamping a new spot one night let the dog on a rabbit there was abit of ahill so myself and the brother took off running,his carrying the battery so im in front next thing I knew I was face down in the dirt,what we tought was a hill was a cliff the dog went over it and had to be put pts,if I had not fell I would have gone over aswell,dont know if I would of been pts,but would of been very sore, lol
