  1. Do you mean physically mature late like bulls (up to 2yrs), or mentally late developers.? What do you pay most importance too, physically or mentally developed when bringing a pup on? For me the pup would need to be both physically and mentally ready. The softly, softly approach. Just seems to me that theres alot of people on here letting their pups go on rabbits at an age I would never dream of doing. I can see alot of dogs being ruined imo
  2. strong looking dog mate. Do you ever use him for drawing work
  3. Having never had nor know anyone who has the bull x greyhounds, what is the best age for bringing them onto game? Are they late developers like suluki x or more mature at a younger age due to the bull blood?
  4. Thanks everyone, I used to do alot of hunting, it still runs deep through my veins, so theres no chance of being put off.
  5. As my name suggests its got to be terriers that go to ground
  6. I would go for a patterdale, outstanding working dogs. You should have no problems getting advice or a dog up there in Durham, plenty lads enjoy their terriers there. A little off topic mate but is Haswell market still held up there or has it gone now, used to have some canny laughs there.
  7. Joined the site after my friend got on about getting a couple of lurchers. Anyway I've been out of the hunting scene for one hell of a long time (16yrs to be exact) since moving to North Yorkshire. I kept patterdales (nuttal) x 3, a very good 10th generation calendar coursing club suluki x greyhound, and a couple of collie x greyhound x suluki x greyhounds. Anyway joining this site has got me thinking of the good old days and got the blood pumping again. If and at the moment its a very big IF I decide to get back into the dogs there is only going to be one type of dog for me, PATTERDALES!!
