  2. I felt the same Wurz when I was a kid and the police confiscated my Gat Gun .... Jasp
  3. I know what you are saying Moll. a pal has one and is digging up old ring pulls and the like, so far he has had a few Musket balls and picked up a few quid around the beaches. this is the make I like, they seem to cover everything you would want from a Detector and would discriminate between the rubbish and the good stuff .......... http://www.joanallen.co.uk/minelab-explorer-se-pro-metal-detector-p/10371.htm
  4. cheers for the info lad . there has been a few hoards found in the Norfolk area in the last few years, I would be happy just finding the odd coin out of a interest point of view! then again I have seen some of these old coins going for a fortune on the bay.........
  5. anyone of the forum into it? there's alot of treasure trove and other treasures found in this area in the last few years, in the past there has been Gold torcs and all sorts found in the Norfolk. been reading up on it for a few years now but never took it up. seems there are some with discriminators and fancy gadgets and others which seem to have the same depth without the bling for half the price?. anyone recommend a good set up that will make me rich? ....
  6. think regulating sounds like the answer to all my problems Buster . Read a bit on the simon howarth Tench converstions on the BSA guns but not heard of anyone having a Air Ranger done as yet? probably a good idea to speak to the guy and see what he says...... Jasp
  7. does it mean its normal for it to stick them over to the left or right Bust? I can understand a drop off but boy this sends them a good 8 clicks over to one side... I take you mean a springer Buster? must say mate I am considering going for a Pro Sport or have been meaning in the past having this gun regulated, not sure if it would help but it sounds good . Jasp
  8. my Air Ranger is has a sweet spot at around 150Bar, its top up level is 180Bar. the gun shoots ok when topped up but when you get it down to the 150 mark its totaly bang on power wise and accuracy wise with maximum consistancy. also noticed when the gun starts to drop off power around 110Bar its POI changes quiet quickly with not only a drop in power the gun starts to shoot consistantly left slightly? when I top it back up its bang on zero again... Confused is a understatement as I would have thought a power drop would consiquently change the POI to hit lower? I'm also confused why Man
  9. brought a lump to my throat What a guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciYk-UwqFKA

  11. Great result ... didn't see the game but did see possesion wise we was all over them. think the Nob Suarez has now made himself a target for every black player he plays against.... did the lad Cleverly get a run out?
  12. think you have a good point there Rake. I'm sure mine shoots better with one mag more than the other, just fitted the single shot tray after reading your post to see how things go .....
  13. Top bombing Rake, sounds and looks like a good session . Out of interested do you find the Daystate favours certain makes of pellets? My .177 Air Ranger seems pretty choosey but settles down nice with either Field Target Trophy or Diablo Exacts. been useing up my last batch of Exacts and must say they seem to have the egde over the FTT's and pretty lethal. Been bagging a few pigeons on a few days as they come into to roost in the back wood and loving getting out again with the old gun, its also helping to fill the freezer up for the fourth coming breeding season. if you was closer mate
  14. Have a good one SS ..... Happy 16th
  15. sad news for you mate . if I have a HH on a bow I always double loop knot them them now... had one in a enclosed weathering just about pull a knot undone after it pulled the ring up to its feet and kept ripping it, definite crafty birds which seem to have a little more grey matter than most Hawks .......
  16. Is that a Corbett x Spar crossed with a Capuchin x Bronson....... think there is a bit of that in it Lab . definitely plenty of corbett in it by the size of it......
  17. Thats a kiddies portion  I'm only a little lad Stabba, the plates only 6 inch across. it was one of them Netherland Dwarf rabbits out of next doors hutch ... It was a good condition bunny the hawk caught ideal for the pot, when my lad tried it I ended up having to share half with him ..........

  20. there's a fair bit of feather dust in the enclosures but can't say there's much in the every day handling of a BOP. there's probably more during the moult and also noticed alot of feather sheath and dust when chicks are feathering up to penning ...........

  22. shows the sort of damage these birds can do to a fishery taking fish far bigger than they can manage......... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2096399/A-real-choker-Peckish-cormorant-attempts-gobble-5lb-PIKE.html
  23. what bird is this then ?
  24. You can certainly mug a few game birds or take them on the rise or generaly by surprise. I'm still yet to see one get near a Pheasant in fair flight though. seen a few get stripped and left for dust across the fields by Pheasants on the wing but thats about it ..........
  25. I never leave any for 24hrs Bob before giving them their first feed, generally its no longer than 12 hrs and not before 6hrs, they're usually dried out and up and begging by this time . first feed is normally some chick leg muscle minus any bone, cut this down to match head sizes and give them about 6 at the most for the first feed just to get the stomache turning over. the meat off a chick leg <Lactated> is easy for them to digest for the first few feeds, after that they get somthing more substantial, give them some bone later by about 48 hrs.... all I can say is the hygien is criti
