Remember when I was a very young lad we used to all pile over the cricket and split up into two teams with one team running to hide in the woods and the other after a 1 Min count coming in to find us. the whole idea was to make it back to the oak tree without getting caught. must say it was a great laugh when we was kids with Dykes and trees and all sites to hide in. one particular day climbed up the trunk of a tree about 30ft up thinking I was well safe only to look down to see a lad from my street who wasn't known as the brightest spark on his way up grinning telling me "I've f*****g got

yep you're right mate a old neighbour decided to creosote his fence and over spray the back of my aviaries . the one thing thats pissing me off with this guy is for weeks I asked them to contact me when they flail the hedge behind the aviaries, it would have been so simple for him just to ring or give me a knock and give me some warning. I have seen some flailed hedge rows in the past but this has litteraly been taken back to the trunk, alot of these was blackthorn so bang goes my sloe supply for next year .........

Decided this summer to build a run/pen for the Ferrets. the general size will be roughly around 6 x 6 or perhaps slightly smaller. bear with me please as I need to ask a few silly questions I know Ferrets can climb so I take it any sort of netting is out of the question? would I need to net the whole floor to stop them digging out? I hopeing to build a network of tunnels for them to play in. also any pictures or any other advice would be much apreciated ....................

used one last year to bring a bird in from countty wicklow Ireland Moll, his name was Jollifel, forgot what his first name was. the arangement was the bird hits my doors step well within 24 hrs. to cut a long story short the guy was dropping off other loivestock all over the country before he came to do the drop for me. he also switched off his mobile so I couldn't get hold of me. over 36hrs later he told me he was still in scotland doing some drops. By the earley hours of the morning he contacted me to say he had lost his wallet and could I meet him, I travelled out to pick the bird up mi

Tell me about it mate. its exactly the same around the whole hedge, I don't think you can even call it a hedge now to be honest its so thin. he took the outside completly back to the trunk which looks terrible. I know its the farmside he has done but he also over lapped onto our ground and smashed part of the hedge over the boundary .......

well finally two days before the 1st of march they finally decided to flail the hedge bordering onto my garden and aviaries. time and time again I asked the farm manager for some info as my birds start breeding soon but it obviously fell on deaf ears, I have bird that was coming into breeding condition that are now totaly stressed to the limit, some of the birds close to the hedge needed to be taken out and boxed which will do them the world of good when I need to make them receptive to me to AI them. the excuse was they didn't want to do it when the shoot was on which is fair enough but t

Hare numbers are pretty high here in Norfolk, I don't think I have seen a decline since I first walked into the fields as a lad. seen them coursed <Pre-Ban>, shot some myself with a rifle and also with a shotty, also took a couple with a Goshawk. have to say the most unsporting out of them all is the organised Hare shoots, there's one place Sandringham way called Bircham Newton and surrounding areas that where some organised shoots would take place. You probably will never beleive this but over a few days there was hares shot into their Hundreds somtimes over 500, most of these w

Dog transport Nr Dublin Ireland To Norwich, Norfolk Uk
jasper65 replied to puppygirl's topic in General Talk
used a guy to bring in a bird from county wicklow to Norwich for me a while back, think his name was Jolliffe. I can't remember his first name but I would never use him again. the bird was supposed to be dropped to me within 24hrs but little did I know he had a van full of dogs being dropped too all over the country withy me being the last drop, I ended up having to meet the guy after he told me he was stuck after he lost his wallet, to cut a long story the whole scenario was a nightmare so do your homework ......... -
with all our resouces stretched to the limit as they are surley going to war would be the worst thing possible for any country. we obviously had a national draft in the great world wars, I can't see how this country would cope again without another one? I'm all for protecting our own shores but fighting a war that don't involve us is sensless......

My jackdaw would follow me anywhere as long as I was sighted or in range of a call. I couldn't go out on my push bike without him/them following me, anywhere I biked around the old council estate we lives the bird wouldn't be far behind flying from roof to roof and back down to me again , at the end of the day I'm sure the birds get to know the routes in the area and remembers them as territory in their flying viscinity. I lost mine for a few days one time and searched high and low for him around the area but nothing, I came home from school and he had gone. the bad thing is he would sit

Just when this country and the world doesn't need it . with all our military resources stretched to the limit and the talk of the falklands too how will this country cope? Perhaps a draft would be on the cards if worst comes to the worst http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/politics/4154426/Britains-battle-plan-for-war-with-Iran.html
