    Sexy...

Oh Boy thats another one gone over the wrist .....
  2. That reminds me Localyokel of a old black and white documentary I saw on the telly, the guy looked like he has a floating reed bed with just small paddles either side to get him moving! as I remember they also filled the bloody things with all sorts of things like Nuts and peices of lead and whatever else they could lay their hands on Sounds like a awsome peice of kit General Nelson would have been proud of , I would have loved to have tried it..... just scouted on Youtube for "Punt Gun" and came across this Clip....
  3. cheers for that lads . the weather is being a bit of a pain at the moment1 the poor birds don't know wether they're coming or going! the pairs are fine but its the Imprints what are taking up all the work and doing my head in . the Harris's dropped their first egg yesterday WH2 so things are looking good as usual with my old pair of Faithfulls that cause me the the least hassle .... MOVING!!

I have been married 17 years now Frank and the missus 99% of the time puts up and shuts up but now she has reached 40 I'm getting the impression she wants a bit more from me not only in comitment but also a better life. I struggle year in and year out with these birds just to make a living, people think I do well on it but Honestly mate I just about tick over, I always promise her the earth each year if I buy any new birds in trying to convince her the more birds I breed from the more the cash flows in! I'll be Honest mate just about all have been false promises. I'm not trying to say
  6. I had this conversation some time ago with a wildfowler who spends pretty much all his life on a House boat around the Marshes in Norfolk, he told me the most recorded ducks shot with a Punt Gun was 36 , to be Honest I find this hard to beleive but can anyone shed any light if this is true or what the total really is? spar bow

That'll do how it is Millet , its a cracking job and I would'nt use Astro on it! the trouble is with Astro if you have a small ring and I know Gimplets have small rings , the ring won't pull over to the oposite side of the bow without getting caught on the Astro first, I have a old bow here I have had for years which is rope bound like yours with no trouble, leather bound round the top is ideal or some of these Rubber bound bows look nice, either that or get a larger Ring ..... Jasper
  8. Nice one Ian I wouldn't mind a wander! whats the sport and pubs like up your neck of the woods? . even better have a wander down here with the Gimplet in the season and we'll have a good crack .....
  9. Things have been a bit slow but they're at the starting line now and ready for the off , one of the males is giving semen now but a bit hit amd miss at the moment, the other is mad keen but fireing blanks at the moment, one of the female's is semi standing, trashed her nest! and is now re-building as you can see in the picture, all in all its hard work as I'm spending longer down the aviaries than with the family! after this year I'll be cutting back on some birds <not the Finn Gos's> and hopefully get a life with a new venture.... 12. I can't beleive the RSPCA was that desperate to nail these lads they spent £12000 of peoples charitable money to take them to court , Its unreal the courts fined them so much it f*****g ridiculouse. I saw a lad in the paper who Robbed some pensioners get far less than this . Perhaps if they had a solicitor instead of representing themselves it would have got chucked out of court. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/6497597.stm
  13. Thats a awkward one , It looks a bit suss to be a Buzzard due to its long tail! looks like a Accipiter of some sort as they wil spread their Primaries simular to Buzzard while going on the Soar but its guess work what it is! I'll stick with the Goshawk Sparrowhawk men . A few years back a lady near by came round and knocked on the door and told me a large brown bird was taking doves fom her dove cot, I went round with another lad a few times but saw nothing until one afternoon when I was picking the kids up from school I bumped into her and she told me it was in her garden now, when I go
  14. Nice one Shaman! I reckon it was laughing so much after you missed it had a Heart attack ...
  15. Top marks , He'll remember that one for a long while! thats one big beaming grin . Its just about the size I want to Introduce into my neighbours pond ....

    for sale

Nice one Jakey . What is he doing with the young male from last year? The mother to the female came off "Pipa" is a lump at 3lb 7, the young male came off "Daisy" who's the biggest Bruiser I have and always weighs around 3lb 12 top weight, I would certainly be interested in the young male back after what I heard from you lads it was killing Crows last year at 2LB and topped out at 2lb 8. Ryan a real top notch lad and I enjoyed all your company when you came down, wish him all the best from me with his new Venture mate .... Cheers Jasper

    dont try this

Kiya Its a shame when most field sports are under scrutiny you can't show more support for succesfull adapated method of Hunting with a Bird Of Prey. I know Chris Soans personally from a flying point of view to also breeding from his film star male and a female Goshawk useing AI, I also know all the ins and outs from when they produced their Video "Urban Goshawk", to this day he will still tell you it was some of the best sport he had aswell as flying Game on foot, Hawking from a moving or stationary Vehicle will Guarantee slips to a Hawk which at times would otherwise be Impossible, I thi

  21. Wow There's some leg breakers there, Di canio's push on the ref is still well funny ! the ref went down like he had been hit by a sniper, Cantona's drop kick on a Palace fan is still a classic....
