  1. I knew that dog Keeps and like many Plummers, had a reputation for being aggressive, something I personally witnessed. I like the pic of the one with the cut ears...that's brambles for you...wait till you dig a fox.
  2. Is she the first ever face transplant I read about? :11:
  3. My mate's Lakey had perfect ears and took a bite to the jaw; it's ear has stood up ever since. I don't know whether it was a nerve ending or what, but still an honourable working scar.
  4. If you run it too oily, it'll keep cutting out.
  5. Personally tarmac, so do you.... :11: :11: :11: 'get darcy's book, 'running dog addiciton' a chapter in there about single handed stayers... plenty of stuff about good dogs.' 'thanks again darcy...' 'you can't beat the feeling of a young pup starting well! Get a picture up darcy. roll on winter.....' 'well said darcy, my thoughts exactly' 'both parents in darcy's book running dog addicition, sire 'tod', dam 'jackie'' 'you messer darcy' Some cracking posts there tarmac...can I borrow your 'Darcy' books? :11: :11: :11: :11:
  6. I'm a fan of working terriers, I just happen to keep Borders... I didn't offer to contribute did I now...?
  7. The book is a good read...about time something like it filled the gap in the market...unfortunately, my comments appear to be misunderstood...but whatever; I will add though, that since becoming a published author a new order seems to have ensued, many participants of which appear to be suffering from 'Shaggyism' and are mere sycophants... I wonder if in years to come we'll see the arrival of 'The Darcy Terrier'..captive audiences etc. John, if I offend that was not my intention and I apologise. Jordan, jealousy doesn't come into...that comes from comparison and I never compare...a
  8. Exactly Smudge...I agree John...now, where did I put that book....?
  9. Smudge, didn't see any Plummers in John's book...hmmm Mind you, can't recall seeing any pics of Plummers working foxes in any of his books.... :11:
  10. John, about the pigeons...you seem to know a bit... Can we expect 'relocate deep. fly well back' I'm not sure where you obtain your info, other than from other diggers, but luckily, I just broke the double figure mark last season...may or may not do better this one...I'll read up about it...perhaps some of your contributors could help me...
  11. Any hints on how to dig that many John Boy..or shall I just wait for the new book..some of the contributors obviously know what they are doing of...
  12. John, don't over estimate me... I guess I don't qualify for a chapter in the new book then?
  13. J Darcy beat you to it...called 'Dig Deep...' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what happened to the book you were gonna write Nuv?...lets see that first before you start slagging my books eh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know enough people to write it for me John...don't get out much nowadays...but if the offer to publish it for me still stands, I'll be in touch...I've even thought of a title...'other people's deep dig addiction'...waddya reckon John Boy..?
  14. J Darcy beat you to it...called 'Dig Deep...'
  15. I heard also...and am surprised it was not better known. If it was Nuttall or Park or Harcombe or......the sycophants would be lining up in droves, as they did Plummer. Funny old world....
  16. Okay mate...I probably already dig it... :11:
  17. A dog of mine I bought in a pub twenty years ago and the first Border I owned. He was flea bitten, stunk and tethered on a piece of unravelled nylon rope; I took pity on him... He caught that fox in the cover we stand in. Turned out to be a great little dog, lost him to strong quarry...and maybe inexperience.
  18. I've got family in Fairhill...the name's O'Sullivan but then so are most people in Cork...
  19. If it's a Fell 'Lacky' does that mean it came from Ireland...? :11:
  20. Tried researching this myself Gnip...without success.
  21. Apparently, there was a fox behind it. :11:
  22. :11: I'm not referring to anything :11: you can interpret it as you like...... :11: :11: :11: :11: :11: :11: :11: :11: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it's what I think, then the judge was questioned as to why he never made-up the Border; he replied that the Russell was clearly a worker and it was, ultimately, a working terrier show. It really put noses out of joint though...good call I thought.
  23. Jack, are you referring to a Russell shown last weekend?
