    Wonder why owners of 30" heavy dogs dont come on the site and say their dogs can rabbit and ferret as good as a 19" whippet.Simple - they would get the piss took out of them,and rightly so but that doesnt mean that big dogs cant catch rabbits. Big dogs are big for a reason,small dogs are small for a reason,each have their uses,why try to change it?

    I have dug to cubs at the begining of February and they had their eyes open,i have also dug to cubs at the begining of September with their eyes closed.I think a fox's breeding season must be 364 days long-wish the wife was as keen

    Years ago I was out with the Border Foxhounds when a fox did the same as you describe.An old chap standing nearby said that at about this time of the year foxes bloat themselves eating frog spawn and they can't run far.Don't know if he was taking th p**s or what,suppose it might be true.

    Anybody out there any good at maths?I have just been reading the recent post about Foxing Legends and the "fact" that there are some single handed dogs out there that have killed "4 figure" numbers.If you have a 6 mounth season(26 weeks)and lamp 4 times a week then thats about 100 times a season you will be out.If this dog is as good as they say and does its job right first time every time,it can't have say more than 5 seasons at the top which gives you(100 days x 5 seasons)= 500 nights out.If this dog kills 2 out of every 3 foxes it is slipped on, that means its had 1500 runs over 5 seasons a

    Caught a mature buck just south of the race course about 3 to 4 years ago so they have been around awhile but lord was it an ugly little thing,looked like it had been made up out of spare parts.
