You can't post anything over 1kg second class, so guess you mean standard parcels for £6 which takes the same time to arrive as second class.
I dealt with them about 5 years ago without a problem. They sell UK sourced ferreting equipment.
Their web page is years out of date, they haven't had any Mk1 finders for at least 5 years, I had the last one off them.
Best to give them a ring or email for the latest prices.
i got a locator still in box never usde ans coller and batterys but dont no what it is think is the mark one how much is it worth. i got 5 ferrets and never use it.
Mk1 box will pick up all collars.
Mk3 box will only pick up Mk3 collars.
I sold two Mk1 finders on EBay for £60 each a couple of months ago. Personally I wouldn't part with one for less than £50. Mk1 collars are worth roughly the same, sold a 15ft one yesterday on EBay for £55. People on here will tell you their not worth that much but thats because they want them on the cheap.
If it is a 15 ft ferret collar then the 393 (AG5) battery should have fitted, as it doesn't then I suspect you have a terrier collar which will require a 357 (AG13, LR44) battery.
As a quick guide 8ft collars take one battery and 15ft collars two batteries. All mk1 collars require either 393 or 357 batteries.
Don't waste your money buying from these places. If you are lucky you will get a DVD which plays but the content will be heavily compressed and hardly watchable. Even worse is that it will most likely be an illegal copy.

Looked on johnsons my self earlier. They were quoting £47, so guess you have added £5 postage. Best of luck to anyone trying to buy from them at that price and hope they honor it.
Last week I might have took that if you had been on my doorstep waving the notes in my face. Today I would think twice if it was £40.
I have taken the hint that every one thinks I'm asking too much. Time will tell, the're going on EBay now, but I'm still open to offers and will update the thread as they sell with prices.
Good point!
So for clarification how to tell the difference between
8' collor and 15' collar
8' locator and 15' locator
Just wondered as my locator has 8' on the wheel!
The only difference between the two locators is the sticker. If you are using an 8' locator with a 15' collar then just double the distance shown. If the other way round then half the distance.
As someone else said, 8' collars have one battery. 15' have 2.
To calibrate you adjust 2 pot resistors with a screwdriver. Its a bit of trial and error to get it right, but definitely not worth paying Deben £50 for
The leather part is fine. Its the electronic part thats bust. If you push the battery cap in the right direction it will start working but as soon as you release the tension it stops.
I have no doubt that a couple of days ago you could have got new Mk3M collars for £45, not any more. The price of them is moving up quickly with the exchange rate going in the wrong direction. Deben are quoting £65 each.
Plenty of people on EBay are prepared to pay stupid prices for Mk1 stuff. It takes some beleiving but I'm confident of at least £35 for a broken finder on EBay and £50 for a working terrier collar.
I have a number of Deben items for sale and am open to offers before they go up for auction on EBay.
Prices are for guidance only and include postage, feel free to offer me more or less. I will get back to you within 24 hours.
