2 day Lurcher, Whippet, Terrier show in Devon
jinnyfizz replied to maggie may's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Got lucky with the weather for the showing on Sunday although we were fogged in under low soaking wet cloud on Saturday night! At least the coursing was run under dry skies! Best In Show was won by a cracking young Lakeland terrier, Gail Benham's Bertie, who has qualified for Pride of The Peaks Terrier Championship 2012 and also South West Supreme 2012. Well done to all the winners - some class dogs at the show -

Stevenstone Hunt working terrier lurcher show
jinnyfizz replied to mongoose's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Do you know who's judging the lurchers pls? -
Have you thought about trying agility with her. They're intelligent dogs and pick it up quickly. If you want to let her have a go at lure coursing, what about starting her off at Lurcher World events doing Chase The Bunny? Any breed of dog can have a go and if she takes to it then there are various lurcher events all over the country where they do "fun running" for all breeds after the lurchers and other sighthounds have had their turn http://www.lurcherworld.info/index.html

I'm posting this for a friend whose lurcher went missing from their garden in the Yeovil area of Somerset last week. It is highly unlikely that this dog would have left of her own accord so they have to presume she's been stolen She is speyed and microchipped so not much use to anyone if they've taken her as potential for breeding and she's a family pet, not a worker. You can see pictures and details on Dog Lost - link below. Please PM me if you know anything or can help find her - she is very important to her family. Thank you. http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=27442

Hello do you know anything about that bitch flora? She looks just like a friend of mines dog who was stolen recently . . . . Sorry, no. I only cross posted it from another forum. All 4 dogs were in the rescue centre at Bath so it's possible that she had been stolen prior to being there? Best to phone the number above and ask about her. They should be able to tell you where she was originally found.
