VERY VERY STRONG POINTS YOU MAKE, 100% RIGHT MATE, the less we do, the longer things get left, the week-er we allow ourselves to become! The stronger they think they are! "PROUD OR ASHAMED TO OWN A LURCHER" at the moment I'm glad to see every one seems proud but as we see more lurcher men fall to these people just walking in to a mans home to remove his lurchers/live stock, the less people will want to risk having the lurcher about!!! The ban may never be overturned, but for a hunting man to get raided as if he is a ""gangster"" (for rabbiting," as that's all any of us do now") is far fetched, mad to think they will try to turn lurchers in to a dog kept by illegitimate people isn't it ???

Stamina needed for coursing, "SALUKI X" (pre ban). your right that he should be a great lamping dog. good luck selling him mate. Staminas only needed on fair slips that dog should have the speed to catch them out of there seat... A collie will have them out the seat, if ya get em sittin!, The ones Ive come across are on there toes, Then the saluki x comes in handy mate, horses for courses, good luck

Had some one fussing the dog as people do, after a minute i was asked "Is it one of those rescued hunting dogs ?" told her "no the dog is one of those hunting dogs still" !!! and "DONT NEED TO BE RESCUED FROM A LIFE THE DOG LOVES" the woman's chin nearly hit the floor lol, Thanks for the replies,

Usually a .22 behind the ear does the trick........ Sounds like he's been worked too hard too young. I've also heard dogs doing it after a good few hard runs as if they might have strained themseves and they know the hare/rabbit has the better of them. But if it takes off on the first rabbit of the day singing flower of Scotland I reckon your stuck with it. lol were can i get a 2.2? you think it will do the trick?

I've always found it more common in terrier and/or whippet crosses. same as that! i have just got a 15 month old saluki whippet which was raised as a pet with no work at all, Ive had him out 5 - 6 times, he has had about ten rabbits so far, but if doubled up on any think he yaps if the other dog gets in front FUSTRATION i think, Not good if your poaching !!! Whippets are a fast dog to cross in to a lurcher but beware of the yappers as only the rabbit its chasing may be taken home the rest will have heard the dogs yaps 3 fields away and will run to ground. pick the squatters for yo

any central heating? under floor heatinl only messin . im gonna put some surface drains infront of both gates run to a man hole at the end of the garden fair play!!! saves shoveling s**t mate. good luck . make sure you leak test be for you back fill the soil-age pipes.
