  1. I have tried but no, not yet
  2. I have just bought new whippet dog pup, 10 weeks old, bought off Dave Sleight, bred from racing/hunting lines. Has anyone had a pup off this man before. I am normally in to terriers but a chance to shift rabbits from a number of farms prompted me to get a running dog. Any tips you have to get sorted with working this dog when he is older would be welcome. Reynard
  3. A few weeks ago I gave a black and tan terrier to "Captain Jack Sparrow" off this site, with the option of fetching her back if she wasn't suited. at first he was happy with her but after a day he changed his mind, so I told him to fetch her back. Instead he gave her to a "noted terrier man in his area". Last week I got a phone call from a vet in derbyshire, saying that a terrier had been found wandering the countryside, the woman who found her, took her to the said vet with the shits and limping, because she had a chip they contacted me. I got in touch with Mr Sparrow who told me the "noted t
  4. I had a Kerry blue about ten years ago, kc reg, bought it for the missus. I used to take it out with my own terriers and he was keen after rats/rabbits, loved water but his coat was bad, too soft and he kept getting canker, vet said it was the fact too much hair growing in his ear canal and it being narrow, so every two/three months he was infected with it. In the end we had to put him down, too protective a guard dog couldn't be trusted with even people we new well.
  5. What was an innocent ask for pics is going down the road of a slanging match, come on lads we have enough probs with the anti's.

  7. A couple pics of mine, past and presentToddCrag. And a new worker hopefully
  8. If the man wants to let his staffy have a go, I say let him, too many dogs over the years haven't been given the chance. This is where the hunting instinct is lost, go on lad let the dog have a look at old charlie. If she proves willing, keep trying her and then maybe think of breeding a litter from her.
  9. I got sorted with a vehicle yesterday Thanks

  11. Hi there grand looking dog can you give me a bit of info on it, I am after one, rillington if I can get one.
  12. Give the guy a rest, he's just trying to sell his dog, anybody would think you had caught him in bed with your wives.
  13. I had beddys a few years back and the best type I had were off rillington breeding or perhaps dogs out of the rambo line, and I thought they were best as an all round terrier with a good temperament.
  14. I spoke to him earlier and he says he would like to use an Irish and would even buy a pup of a breeder to work with his whippet and then breed at a later date, but I will mention about the wheatens.
  15. Any chance of letting us in on it
  16. Feck that's one helluva lump of dog mate nice one
  17. A neighbour who does a bit of ferreting with his whippet, is after getting a litter from her and is thinking of using an Irish terrier. He has asked if I knew of any working dogs that he could use over his bitch. Now the question is does anyone know of any Irish terriers that have been used for hunting in the last say 5 to 10 yrs. I have heard the odd tale about dogs but they seem to be of years gone by, if you could help get in touch. Cheers.
  18. Looks ok that mate for your 1st time.
  19. In no way can a straight beddy catch rabbits on the lamp or in the day, I had three a few years ago of different breeding, the only time they caught any was in cover. My advice is to get one crossed with a greyhound or whippet.
  20. THAT SHOULD BE 35YEARS AGO Yes mate 35yrs or more, you have to watch what you write, too many eyes watching us.
