Id sooner have a worker than a looker, but then if you have a dog that looks smart and works well then whats the harm in having abit of fun at the shows with it. The terrier shows are always a good time to catch up with old friends and make new ones, and its something to do in the quiet summer months.

Im a postman, not such a clever job but on a hunting day i an finish early and get out with hounds. Would love to have a job as a profesonal terrierman or work for a hunt as countryman, or be a gamekeeper.

Was you the chap with the big camara leveller? by the dung heap in the first picyure they out up a lovley big fox, twas a ceacking day out, tired my little brother out anyways i will definately have to go out with them again when they are local.

What an amazing day out. Walked a fair ways but saw alot of sport, i would never of though rabbits would run from hedge to hegde like they did today. Cant think how many they killed, dont know if the huntsman knew the final tally come the end of the day but it must of been about 20 rabbits. A good heep of people turned up aswell. Did you take many pictures leveller?

Hes an exmoor boy, and used to be one of the biggest poachers around so ive been told.

We had about 500 foot followers out yesterday and we are only a small local pack, so god knows what the likes of the berkley, beaufort and heythrops get.

I got a pair of hoggs tweed breeks and matching waistcoat, and al murrays landlord book of great british common sense.

Its the West Somerset Vale, we hunt around bridgwater and half of the quantocks. having some good sport at the moment, we hunt tueday and saturdays. pm me if you want to know were the meet is.

What sort of day do they get on a boxing day? I'm "between hunts" at the moment - not long moved back to the area - will it be easy enough to follow in the truck? were abouts in zider county are you foxyjo? cos the wsvh are a handy little pack with a fair bit of good viewing, and even better im there most days.

What make me laugh is the fact that people in the towns dont want to live with the foxs so they get them shipped out into the countryside so we have to live with them, then we are told we cant hunt them with hounds(not that rescue foxs gave much sport anyways).

Its one of those things that you cant describe, the noise the hounds is making is unbeliveable. like you say its not the same with 2 hounds just no drive and the deer wnt stand to 2. The hounds just stand off and bay at the stag most of the time, there has been a few occasions when they have pitched in. But you will get the odd nasty stag that will try to gore the hounds
