  1. I've had some Russells start at about a year. A couple of my good ones didn't start until they were nearly two. I'm willing to wait on one to be ready at two, but it had better be showing me good signs that it's interested.
  2. I've had baying Russells. I've had hard as nails Russells. I prefer one that bays and mixes a little, rather than one that is constantly having to heal up. JMHO. I've also seen patts that bay. If we all liked the same thing, it would be rather boring, wouldn't it?
  3. Chapmans' first book, The Working Jack Russell Terrier, I consider very good. As for "too much on conformation/showing". ONE chapter on showing, about six pages out of 100. Lots of pictures of terriers in his pedigrees. The second book, I bought it and kept it, but it's not as good as the other.
  4. Not sure I'd call that girl ugly. Nothing wrong with a few spots. Besides, pretty is as pretty does.
  5. Thanks. I like her too. She is one I bred and a "worker" if I do say so myself.
  6. Thanks, he is bred to work, too.
  7. Our first working outfit: This girl is three, doing a good job for me. This is an armadillo, very strange creatures. Newest addition, he is nine weeks today.
  8. The oldest one in my working crew: Here's a half Jack Russell
  9. I've used a .22 on quarry in a hole quite a bit. Always seemed to work.
  10. Yep. This is one of my older ones working a groundhog: And this is the result of this terrier's first time in the earth:
