Well, we are back from not a very successful days ratting, the little buggers must have known we were coming, or it could have had something to do with all the volunteers from the local riding school helping doing a big cleanup at the weekend, which I was told about this morning when we arrived . We looked everywhere :search: and didn't even find a mouse. Have to find ourselves a better location for next time.

Thanks for all advice guys , off to bed now for a bright and early start. Hoping to have some pics for you later.

Got Jack Russell, found stable, got hay bales, got feed bins, got RATS, got no experience but am very excited ! I am taking my dog ratting tomorrow and it's the first time for both of us so if anyone has any helpful advice I'd really appreciate it . Annika

I hope it all goes well and he makes a full recovery for you

Probably was a bit premature posting about him here, cheers for the tin hat maltenby . I am hoping he will prove himself in time so I will keep you updated. To be honest I'd rather have a pup from him and a good bitch than a not so good one, so I'll just have to be patient, not very good at that though Very good point, fortunately he's not too bad for humping things, just when meeting other dogs, in particular my mate's male rottweiler. Please don't let him be gay, that would not be condusive to getting offspring . I'm hoping he's going to turn out to be "decent stuff". I

Short legged jrt, football cross, there's an interesting one but quite tricky. 'Rag it', it was, I'll get him to save the other one for the ladies .

Have hopefully got some ratting sorted for us in the not too distant future, fingers crossed he does well. Very good point about too many pups ending up at the pounds but still hoping there is some hope for my little guy as I'd love a pup he's sired. Will keep you updated on what hopefully will be the meanest, leanest, rat killing Jack Russell south of Oxford

Ha, ha, this could go on forever. Why not? Constructive critisism is sooooo much better Sorry, couldn't resist What is it with men and making a mess in socks? This is starting to go seriously down hill now, better stop myself before I get

One small problem, no two actually. One - that will not produce any puppies, and two - my old man would be upset if I did it to the dog instead of him

Ok, joking aside. I don't think he is sexually frustrated to the point of suffering so I don't think castration would do him a favour even though some people say it does prolong the life of dogs. As for nieve and anthropormophic, had to look up nieve and could only find, nieve - "clenched fist" (northern and Scot. dialect), but I do know he's not a human and neither does he think like one so he's probably quite happy not covering any bitches. However, from a more selfish point I would personally quite like to have a puppy from him because I do feel there are a few good qualities he could

He has tried my leg on occasion, think it must be a man thing, apparently he'd rather stick it in something than just rub against . I don't know, personally I quite like rubbing. Oops, maybe I should just stop writing now . Shovel, digging.......

Hmmmm, last I checked I think beastiality was illegal and his breath does smell a bit so even though I love him to bits that is just wrong . I think I'd rather try to find him a bitch .

You got a smaller one for the boy as well?

Cheers guys, tin hat firmly strapped on

The little fella really wants to get his leg over so I figured this is as good a place as any to start. I appreciate that most people on this forum are probably looking for proven studs and workers but there might be someone who like the look of him enough to make him a veeerrry happy dog .
