  1. Alot of people have reccomended a BSA tactical XL. Would you say this is a good cheap all round air rifle?
  2. i shoot feral pidgeons regularly on a farm and i have wondered about lamping them at night because Andy Richardson does this the "Sporting air rifle"dvd and it proves very effective...but...on a thread on here someone said that lamping pidgeons is illegel. Is this true?because if it is i wont do it. thanks Greg
  3. i shoot on a farm where there is a big feral pidgeon problem but i have been told i shouldn't eat them because they have alot of different diseases which could be harmful. I was wondering if this is true or if there is anything else i could do with them?Because it seems like a big waste. thanks Greg

I have lost of land which i am aloud to shoot on and i have shot on there in the past with my junior SMK break barrel rifle, it has now got alot of faults which can't be fixed and i am thinking of getting a new air rifle for shooting rabbits woodies and feral pidgeons, i don't want it to be to expensive(no more than £300) i bolt action would be better but if i can't buy one with that money then i'm happy to get a break barrel rafle. So which one should i get? thanks Greg

  6. thanks for your help, i am going to put bacon on them and i the moment i am gessing the way you hang a pheasant doesn't really matter because everyone seems to have different oppinions, i'm preparing them tomorrow and the pheasants have ended up hanging half a week by the neck and half by the legs lol. thanks Greg

  10. You said that gamebirds are alwways hung by the neck but some prefer to hang by the feet, i have a brace hanging by the feet at the moment.Should i hang them by the neck? thanks Greg

  13. Nice bag, good you put the fox out of its misery. Nice terriers too, it must be quite difficult to shoot small game with a 410 because of its tight pattern so well done

  15. It depends whether you want it as a family pet aswell and do you want it to just retrieve or to be a good pointer to. If you want a good retriever/pointer/house pet i would go for a hungarian vizsla, thats what i have and they are great friendly house pets and also amazing pointers and retrievers.Heres one below Greg

Ive been training a 6 year old hungarian vizsla to retrieve shot game like pheasants, rabbits etc. I have been told to put pheasant wings on the dummy and i have found freeze dried wings on the internet, Can i use wings just cut from a shot pheasant or will it rot and go smelly?. Do i just tye these to the dummy along with a few feathers? I am also going to tie rabbit skins to the dummy as well but wont they go smelly? thanks Greg

  20. Rob is wrong i have shot doves etc in the past but it was with a old cheap air rifle that is why i am wondering about getting a new one.i also have just started fishing trout and training 6 year old viszla.
  21. I've shot a few collared dove and i was wondering if i could eat them? Because you can eat pigeon but you can't eat a few other things.

  23. hi i have a 6 year old male vizsla and he is great at retrieving but he wont retrieve any form of BIRD. We think this may be because we used to have chickens and we would tell him of if chased them. How can i get him to retrieve birds or is he to old? thanks Greg
