    Well today was my beaters day, and i was really exited, so exited i even got up before my alarm went off 7:30 . So i got up got my gun, carts, hat and got dressed and mum dropped me off at Monachty Shoot. So i got there at around 8:30 as mum works in the school so i am normally early if i go beating. I was there for about half an hour before the other shooters got there, it seemed like they got there all the same time. So we picked a card, and the people who picked a back colour card were on the black team and the people who picked a red card were n the red team, I pick the 5 of hearts

    Well, from what i have seen, they like to do their own thing, if they get bored they will bugger off and find something to do. And they are quite hard mouthed and not obedient, this is my experience of them, but i have heard of many bedlington crosses being excellent rabbeting dogs.

    The rough coated one is a bedlington/whippet/greyhound. But if yours after rabbits then you cant beat good whippet

    A mate of mine lives in ffos-y-fin, plenty of rabbits around there fella The smart ones stay in sight of the police station too Haha, iv long netted that place many times. LOTS of rabbits there, also i have permission behind there where the cliffs are and we get some good numbers there too.

    I live near Aberaeron and we normally get about 10+ out ferreting. Then we just normally lamp the farms after the first trip ferreting.

    My and a mate decided to to hi old permission where he lived up north wales on sunday for a bit of ferreting, so we left at 5 in the morning to get there at first light. We got at the first set and bolted 2 but we didnt get them as we put the long net out but the ran in a different way but we had plenty more hole to ferret. We arrived at the farm, got the kit ready and we got going. We had with us my whippet and my mates lurcher, 2 50ydrs one 10Z the other 6Z, 2 ferrets and 20 purse nest.     Well said mate, im 100% with you on that one, just have a look at my post 4X4 Lamping, youl see a few PRATS on there that dont like the though of hares being shot. Plus its the only LEGAL way of control them, so there is no wrong in shooting them. Well done on your hare matey, did it taste nice ?

    Went for a quick walk today with the 12 semi to see what the farm by me was like. Got there and the farmer was sorting out his cows, gave him a quick wave and was off into the fields. Went down to a small wood to see what the fox earths were like, as i approached them a strong smell of fox all around. Should have taken a picture of the set really but forgot. SO will have to pay this place a visit with my mates dogs soon, before the lambing season starts.     DIfferent sports for different people. You keep your opinions to yourself and il keep mine If you dont like it then i guess it your problem. I was told to SHOOT the hare by my friend who has permission on the land we were shooting on. He wanted it, i got it for him, Simple as.

    He didn't ask that one, but thanks for the heads up. ALl he did was write down where the cabinet is kept and the guns inside + the serial numbers and he was off, no longer than 5 mins.

    One. The only reason i shot it was my mate needed some ferret food Two. I RARELY shoot hares. You shot a hare for ferret food !! TWAT Come on tell me why that is a bad thing? I would like you to explain why shooting a hare for some ferrets is a bad thing to be done.

    Last night my mate gave me a call seeing if i wanted to come for a lamp for some ferret food, i had'nt been out for a while so i said yes. He came to pick me up in his very nice Mitshibutshi ( Spelling) L200. So i took my new semi-auto and he took his. We were off to the first farm and the lane down to the farm was at one side of a field so we lamped that field while i walked by the side of the 4x4, We seen a hare about 100yds away so i walked out to the field and my mate kept the lamp on it, soon enough i was about 40yds from it and shot it while it was hopping towards me , One in the bag.

    You can do this buddy, but some times, this has happen'd to me, you slip the dog because you think it has seen the rabbit but it walks right over it and its gone before the dog knew it was there. But it does work some times.
