    Don't panic if it takes ages , i'm told Dyfed Powys are very busy at the moment , i still have not had my SGC and FAC back yet and i sent them in 8 weeks ago for change of address , had my cabinets re-inspected at the new address almost straight away but no sign of the certificates yet Not really surprising with the size of the force's area. Over half the land mass of Wales with probably more SGCs and FACs on issue than anywhere else in England and Wales They must have fits and spurts where all of a sudden there are 10,000 certificates to re-issue and then nothing for months

    Good luck, Pretty much finished my forms today and ready to send off, heard today it could take up to 12 weeks????? I hope not Ow god, mind you, my SGC took 5 months But if they do take long i dont really want to hustle them up because it my first FAC, so BASC advised me to ring them first and they will deal with it if they take very long.

    Hopefully it will be rather fast, my step mum just had her SGC renewed and only took 1 week. Iv gone in for a .22LR plus moderator for vermin, was going to go for a .17HMR but I think because of my age the police will be happier if I had a .22LR first then go in for a 17HMR.     Sent off my forma yestraday and have been on and off Royal Mail Track and Trace to see if they have arrived ha ha. Going to pick up my new 5/6 gun extra deep with a 205mm locking top tomorrow that's costing me £200 but will be that last one I hopefully but, unless I need the extra space ha ha. Waiting for a call off the FEO now, wish me luck guys.

    Right, i gave the referees forms to fill in and have not yet picked them up to send them. Is it ok for me to pick them up and take them to the post office as well as my application and send all the pieces of info off at the same time ? Obviously they have been put into and envelope .     Referee's are NOT allowed to be family members. It will say tat on the Application Forms on the NOTES on the last page .

    Hi guys, right heres the situation. Spoke to BASC firearms Department last night and they told me not to apply for a FAC until i can buy a rifle ( that would be in a years time when im 17) or get a parent to apply for one so they can gift it to me. So, my step mum who has a SGC and land has agreed to apply for a FAC for a .22LR + Moderator so i can be GIVEN it.She has land as horses and would like to use it for a little while to shoot the crows and rabbits that feed off the horse feed then she will hand it over.She used to use a .22LR where she lived as her cousin had one and often went a

    So was in school today, when lunch time came 1.20 i headed down town right, got some grub and went to where my mates were in the football field ( Is anyone has been to Aberaeron you will have probably notice the big football pitch in the middle of the town) Then what do I see, THE RSPCA OFFERING PONY RIDE FOR MONEY. I though that they were against animal cruelty, im not saying that riding a horse is cruel, but the fact that they were using thiws horse to make them selves money i couldn't believe. I felt like phoning them up after this but, got carried away with other work i had to do.

    Yes you will have to out each caliber moderator you want and only ONE permission. Ammunition that fragments on impact. Seeing as you will be shooting vermin your police force should put expanding ammo on your certificate

    MODERATORS need to be out into another box, for example. Where it says CALIBER write the caliber you want the MODERATOR to be in, IN TYPE OF FIREARMS write in MODERATOR and in REASON write HEARING PROTECTION and then the land you intend to use the moderator. FAC AIR Just write the caliber you want it in, then write in TYPE OF FIREARM AIR RIFLE then REASON is VERMIN and the land you intend to use the firearm. You could try and get .22LR for a fox but they might be a bit shifty for a first time holder of a firearm. FAC AIR and .22LR write in VERMIN for REASON
