    Went for a little shooting with my mentor yesterday so he can teach me a bit on safety and handling a rifle. Really god fun. We shot with a CZ 511 which was bloody accurate using Winchester Subs. We were shooting balloons we had wedges it the lower part of the fence and were shooting them from the tree and from free hand. I shot the smallest ballon which was about 3inches in width from about yards, and it was really good fun. Cant wait to get a .22 of my own soon. Few pics

    Sent my app off on the 2/5/10 and got the interview 28/5/10 Thats quick my friend iv been waiting 6 weeks so far Mind you, it was only a week from sending my shotgun app off and getting a call and still took 5 months for me to get my SGC. So i cant see it being too fast this time TBH I emailed my force to ask whys it taking so long for me to get my interview for my FAC, dont be shy mate. IF you dont hurry them up they will take the piss basically. Give them a ring or matey.

    Right guys, going to buy a scope for a .22LR i will be doing mostly night shooting and low light shooting at ranges max 100yds Have narrowed my two choices down to these MTC COBRA 3-9x50 HAWKE MAP PRO 3-9x50 Never seen or had a go on a MTC scope, what are they like, Long lasting ? Good for lamping ? Do they hold their zero well? I do like the HAWKE scope but because the MTC scope is a Fog Proof and Water Proof i would be better off with this one. Cheers guys.

    Was happening last night. Was constantly loading and i got to impatient to wait. Happens once or twice now

    Only took 30mins. Went really well, he hinted that i will be granted it by saying " I see no problem " Just been to get my supervision letter signed by my mentor and i will give him a ring to pick it up. Went in for a .22LR and a Moderator and he said there is no problem at all. Just gotta wait a few weeks for the land check and should all be done

    .17HMR round is only about 1,200 fps slower than a 22-250 round? In most cases the .17HMR will kill a fox cleanly, but its down to bullet placement and you're Local Police Force whether they will grant FOX for a .17HMR, some will, some wont.

    One night lamping with my mate. We both had our dogs and each had a lamp. Walked passed this REALLY OLD looking house in the middle of no where on this permission of mine, and this thing looked scarey as f**k, windows smashed, ivey coverd and no doors. Then all of a sudden both our lamps cut out, so let my dog off the lead and she was going nuts, barking and yapping, so i was rushing to get my lamp connected and walked back to the car as fast as f*****g possible. We were bricking it, so the folowing evening, i looked up the farm on google maps and COULD NOT FIND THE HOUSE. Never

    Ring BASC mate, they will get it sorted. By law you do not need a alarm fitted to you're house, this is noncense the police will say it becauae they don't reeally want anyone to have guns mate. Hope it turns out alright.

    my misses bloody pet rabbit has chewed up my application form!!! ironic a!!! yes i must not forget the sound modifier! can i ask whippeter69- why did you not put in for both on your fac??? then in the future u have the option! i think i will! Well thought about it, but i am/was debating whether i needed the .17HMR and at the time it wouldn't have been useful to me, most of my rabbits are short range and i didn't see the point but in a few years time i may put in for one.

    Nice one matey, the 17HMR is an incredible bullet, iv just put in for a .22, was going to go for the .17HMR but as most of my rabbits are shot in places where noise would be a bit of an issue and every field would hold around 7 or 8 rabbits I opted for the .22 and sound mod, hope you get you're FACv soon buddy, don't foget to get a sound MOD.

    Person aged 14 -17 may not buy or receive an air rifle or air rifle ammunition as a gift, how ever they may borrow an air rifle from a person that is OVER 18 and use it on land they have permission on with out supervision. SEE HERE
