It is easy enough just grab it before you either let it run or dispatch it ....This is a trick I learned from an old lad that had dug and handled many foxes over the years is to stick a finger in its cheeck what he called fish hooking it causes the fox no harm if done gentley but firm but it calms the animal down ....some foxes will just stay still but you get some real frisky criitters that will twist and turn on you but if you fish hook them it calms them down straight away .....he said always do it on the left hand side of the fox and that seems to work best ...dont ask me why...anyone stru

Heres the last pic I have of fly on my pc it was taken about a month ago ....she had slowed down growing as she was cutting big teeth but now there through my wife says she is growing like a mushroom again ....I will get some pics up when im back home next week

She seems to be the smallest of the litter Ive not seen mine for a month but the wife says she is a lump she is one of they pups that nothing phases her ...i will get some pics when im home next week .....there are a few members on here with pups can you put a pic up lads ....

Some one some were many years ago was walking through some were in the British isles and a flash of lightning and a crack of thunder and low and be hold a terrier appeared . It was black and tan and 14 inch at the withins , with cat like feet short in muzzle sizzer bite to its jaw , thick tight shiny coat , tight penduline ears , the person walked a while the terrier followed , they fell upon a hole in the ground , the terrier looked up at the man the man looked down at the terrier to see As it disappeared down the hole he stood now this spot was big with large spoils of soil at every entrance

They dont look like the GM lines you see now adays and as rabbit hunter said I think the silience speaks volumes ....there are loads of that straight legged red box headed shite up here paraded around the shows and the lads that do so should hang there heads in shame....and the price they go for is madness

I totaly disagree that man had anything to do with the evolution of the hare ...hares were around way before man ...so its not as simple as you would like to make it out to be ....If you go on youtube there is a vid with some lads somewhere hunting hares with eagles and there birds take them with ease it just shows you how fast and agile these big birds of prey are but they certainly dont test a hare or the hare test them . Moll I agree with you in some way but most of europe and the uk was covered in forrest and de forestation to allow for modern day farming is historicaly just a recent eve

But thats my point Moll dureing the evolution of the hare there must of been a predator that caused the hare to evolve into the animal it did ...a prey animal that had nearly the same speed and stamina as the hare cause imo an animal doesnot become so refined and near perfect for running like the brown hare without being pushed hard in the chase over thousandsand thousands of years .

I am over in the far east at the moment and find myself with a lot of free time on my hands and have been watching some coursing dvds .. it got me thinking that animals evolve over many thousands of years with many factors like food ,landscape,terrain ,temprature ,quarry specious they hunt or what specious hunt them etc etc these factors play a part in anythings evolution ...so after seeing hares run for sometimes over 4 minutes nearly bring some dogs to a stand still ...what made lepus europaeus into the ultimate athlete it is ....as for it to evolve the way it did there must of been some
