  1. headed out today, i was driving and getting the bird back and kev was slipping and taken pics, hes actually getting good at this. 2nd flight of the day resulted in one of the best kill ive ever had, slipped rolf, and crows about 30 yards away got up, now usually he either gets them on the rise, or they wait and dodge him on the ground at the last minute, but this time they were all up, i didnt think he had a chance, but with a little wind up his arse he dragged the rook down in midlfight to the ground. i was quite shicked and over the moon. went on to get a few more slipps. one he clipped the

  3. it had healed up well, but it started to bleed again last weekend, few more coats of new skin and its fine again. might call an early end to season to help it grow back soon.

  5. the guy who down the imprint goshawk dvd got compensation for his falcon landing on one. they also took the poles down and put it all through the ground in that area.

  13. to be honest glen(another new name mate?), i thought on wedensday, i could mug one easy enuff to get him started, and then go on to longer slips when hes had a few. but discovered it to be alot harder than it looks.
  14. well. recently, due to clocking up big milage. and spending £20 on petrol each hunting trip, i have decided im gonna need to start hunting closer to home. only real quarry nearby is crows, and be the plentifull. gave him at go at crows on wedensday from the car, he tried well, and returned well, but no kill. it was alot harder than i had ever thought:o. today i traveled to some rbabit ground, but weather was misrable, so while we waited for it to clear up, we tried a bit of car hawking.   17. the ban is only in britian, which is in fact only scotland england and wales . northern ireland, tho part of the UK isnt covered by the ban, but the hares are. their actaully getting some publicity the last few weeks in the media, about the numbers.
  18. new radio doesnt have casset anyway mate, and the casset adopter i used before was completly rubbish.
  19. yea, tried changinglink, but still not working. its a gadget that uses the radio frequencies to transmit from the ipod to the car. guess its somethign similar to yours then, good to hear it works well, once tried teh casset adopter, it was terrible

  21. Rolf weighed in at 1lb 6 last night, so hit the road. went to the farm i hunted on sunday there. Arrived at about 11:15, fairly breezy night and very bright from moon. first field had about 6 rabbits sittign out, btu only managed one flight. it started at a hedgrow on one side, and cut across the field to a set in the hedge on the far side, nice flight, no kill. climbed over gate into next field, right away had a great flight, with rolf hitting it but not holding. had a scan on down the field, not expectign to see any after teh noise of the last rbabit, but there was one sittign about 30 yards
