  1. just lower his weight gradually untill he is repsonding well, you can never tell what his weight will be without seeing his response to the fist and lure
  2. looking nice and dark mate, took rolf out of moult monday night, weighed in at 1lb 7oz. now at 1lb 6.5oz and takign lure hard, flyign free tonight if all goes to plan
  3. will be hunting from the weekend if all goes to plan, if rabbits are out in the bushes, then ill be ferreting them

  5. your jills may get a bit of a beating from him tho, my jill was bleeding in the neck when myhob went into season, no i got him castrated instead

  9. my box is made of plastic way way better than wood, easy to clean,light and so long as their air holes they shouldnt sewat. they will sweat in wood too if varnised?

  14. ive seen losts on grilse taking from the moy estuary, and hundred from the saltwater pools(could argue if it was estuary or not) dont see how use are surprised, every salmon fishign book covers it lol
  15. hi ditch, as you can see the screws are only really at the compartment where ill be puttign the bits and bobs, so no risk to the fererts, and didnt wanan be going to buy a whole box of small screws when i only needed half a dozen lol. ive actually got alot of door stop on it, if you have a look, thats what the screws are holding fletcher, ive decidedon next monday, this weekend im making a new travel box and clearing the garage and getting all the gear sorted just cant wait lol
  16. finally finnished my new hutch for the ferrets, 2 tier, 4x4x2. ferrets seem happy with it. put a wee board above the sleeping compartment to put my locater and battereis ect in. gonna try and get they shitting in the litter tray, but the hob is to strong, and just keeps moving it about, even weighed down with 2 bricks lol. what do yous think?
  17. Im going down to mayo in september for a weekends fishing and will be hopefully taking the bird and ferrets with me. is there anybody on here who would allow me a days hunting on their permission with them. in return im buy breakfast and a few pints after
  18. wouldnt use a cotton bud mate, the fibres are danegrous to ears, dotn even do it to your own ears lol

    is that what you fly them on ?? blackbirds ?? my mentor flew a spar at blackbirds, there one of the best prey for them
  21. Why would you not use paper shredding in winter? cant go wrong with shredded paper. it doesnt jam in your hinges, has very little dust, and can usually be obtain for free from most offices. or even get a shreder for a tenner in b and q. sorted
