Getting real, and I accept what you say walshie. Every semi I've seen will cycle 65mm shells perfectly when run in And yes Ianm, it is the issue in getting multi 65mm versus 2 70 or 75's in the mag????? Doesn't seem I difficult calculation does it??, so why can't they find the tube length that permits 2 x 75's and stops 3 x 65's?????????????? I know the answer, it's called standardisation. You can tailor these guns for any cartridge of short length and low, (2) capacity to exclude longer, but they won't be EU friendly, this positive side of EU regs,

Your never going to get five years for it unless you are in a nightclub with a pistol. I have known of several people getting between nine months and two years for possesing unlicensed shotguns. One bloke who had a license but had three off ticket .410's aswell was fined £1200 and his license revoked. BUT why risk anything, if you have a genuine need for a high capacity shotgun ie: crop protection just apply for a section 1 and you will get it no problem. Several years ago my son bought a Baikal mp153 and by accident we discovered you could put three in the mag. I took it back

cyclonebri1 replied to cyclonebri1's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
Simply don't need it, have fox listed against both my .22 and hmr, the ruger and scope combination was getting to heavy to hump about the countryside, (I getting to the old git stage) so I was just using it at the range, and I'm getting to tight to spend a quid a round shooting bullseyes. So it is on ticket, it was listed in another thread at £125, then reduced I'm now open to offers. It's unmarked and dated early 2013, no more than 50 rounds through it Phone now back on so 07514494265 should get me http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/315391-wildcat-predator-mod/ and it -

ok, took it and had it appraised at mansfield gun store today. based on that my figures are very low. ring them for thier opinion. gun; £400, total package £600 fixed. at that price,, given mint condition, it's a giveaway the point is 2 fold, you will not find a better 1 even if you buy new, and that will cost you a grand for the bare gun alone, plus you have the option of matched kit

I'm going to have to let this go as I simply don't use it. Hardly used and virtually unmarked. Fitted with Tasco 6 x 24 x 50mm scope, 1 of the proper ones when the Japs owned the company. Came out of the draw after sitting for over 10 years in the box. Box still here Moderator is a Wildcat predator, again as new with box. Trigger job done by local gunsmith Sighted in at Carton Moors 100 mtr range, I shoot crap and got 1 1/2" groups @ 100yds, guy next to me shot 1 holers This gun is indistinguishable from new, it will sell and I am being very reasonable on price, which is negotiable

Keeps losing zero isn't much of a description to be honest. as the guy above asks, what exactly is it doing. Are you zeroing at the end of a range session when it's hot, and then finding it's moved when cold??? What size group are you trying to achieve? Two dead calms shooting day on the trot are unusual, you may also be chasing the wind

Cannot Get A Decent Group .223
cyclonebri1 replied to fiona22's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I went to the range a few weeks ago to sight in a different scope on my 223. It's amazing how bad habits creep in, I didn't realise until the guy that was watching me, an instructor as it happened, pointed out my fingers were touching the barrel as I shot from the bench rest. That makes a difference with a fully floated barrel like the 1 have and you do also. Their isn't much recoil at all with the 223 but some folks do flinch at it. A young guy I introduced to .22 shooting a few years ago got himself a 223 but before I even knew it had gone back to the gunny and he took out an HMR. Not -
It was just about bang on 12 mid day, blazing sunshine but it's so heavily wooded and in a gorge they are often about during daylight. The last 1 I got in there was just about in the same place, if I hadn't shot it with the .22 at about 15yds I'm sure it would have walked right up to me. I bought aaa and bb in 2 3/4", always keep just a couple on the belt. A bit annoying ais I then sold the only non 3" magnum gun I had so could have gone 3" anyway And to the other poster, when my farmer says his ducks are getting taken, every fox I shoot for him helps my position, It was a dog as it

Went a walk out today just looking for the odd pigeon or maggy with the shotgun. My patch is dead at present. No pigeons, and no can see rabbits. There is a wood between two farms I shoot. I gave up on the pigeons, 1 hr and zero after walking round. Dropped my backside on an old dry stone wall looking into the wood I mentioned, it's a bluebell wood, they are knee high at present. Sod all happening, but, I did remember about 10 years ago in this wood I had a fox walk up on me when I was sat on the path through the wood, .22 in hand that day. Given that and that I was thi

How you find the trigger ? I visited all the yankee sites and tickled the trigger as detailed, it's now 100% better, but could still be improved, just don't want the cost of importing stuff at Ruger and present exchange rate prices Stronger bolt spring and weaker trigger spring fitted, supplied by Brownells, USA, bout £12 Worst thing about this is that the gun I have is the match version, heavy matt finished stainless barrel, laminated stock and supposedly a better trigger. The basic all weather synth stocked version was better out of the box to be honest. Mine's a wood version only

.22 Allowed But .17Hmr Not Allowed

Have you had ricochets come back towards you? No, have you?, that was my point unless you are being cryptic?? It needs several impact point to create a 180 degree ricochet, ie, into a quarry or similar, or maybe you want to argue that too? The danger of a ricochet is largely one of hitting someone outside the line of fire, not in front of it. And yes of course I've seen that .50 video, only thing I can say is only in America What YOU should be asking yourself is why have I had ricochets coming back at me, and as the 50cal video shows, they all do it it if you -

.22 Allowed But .17Hmr Not Allowed
cyclonebri1 replied to Beefbeefbeef's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Problem now over for you, great, but I'll comment anyway. My force actively push for shooters to have the hmr and not .22 rimfire, citing tendency to ricochet as the reason. .22 is proven to still produce deadly human force at over 400mtrs hmr does ricochet, and hence probably further than a .22 That bloody comment about the .22 not coming back towards YOU BEGGARS BELIEF My ticket renewed last Dec still lists both .22and 17hmr specifically for fox -
Had this ruger 77/22 for 5 years now, it's always been a problem, wouldn't shoot a 6" group at 100 yrds and was at max elevation on the scope at 60yds Tried with 2 scopes, the same. added ruger to weaver dovetail mounts and the same. Gave up holding over, took out the action and barrel and floated the barrel. Now shot a further 3 inches lower, the tension on the stock forend was controlling the point of impact. Now shoots superbly, but has 10 thou under the rear mount and another 10 thou under the rear sight mount ( I have had several CZ/Bruno guns to try to divert the o

They're only pointless if you know the answer. Aye there pointless cause folks will never grasp that they are different tools for different jobs neither is better than the other I understand where you're coming from, but we all had to learn somewhere mate. By the way, what is better, a hammer or a pair of pliers? Hammer cause what it dont fix it can smash lol You know this is the most worrying forum on the net, responses like that from someone that actually has a gun licence. Well done chap, Let the world read. :toast: , innit.

What most here don't get is that .22 is the bottom of the pile. To explain; In the states they are given to kids as toys, and the same in a lot of the lesser controlled world than ours. Ammo has to be cheap and cheerful, and we, the UK market evermore increasingly don't figure in sales. I'll let you guys work that 1 out. So, the quality of .22 ammo declines due to a less discerning customer base. Winnies???? Swore by them 30 years back, then they went to australia for manufacture and something went wrong. I bought a block of 1000 and no 2 shot the same, super sonic,

My .223 Is Complete :) Falcon Scope Howa
cyclonebri1 replied to GEOFF.223's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I agree, that does look so wrong, surely there must be another slot further back you can use for the rear mount???? Can you "reverse" the rear mount??? Looks like that would work.
