  1. Working on this new longish net,, genuine Japanese spun nylon twine ,, found a few spools tucked away in a box inside the shed that tbh looks like it's been bombed by a German Stuka ,, I have a couple of nets made with this twine and it makes a good net ,, making this in a two shade style,
  2. Out of 5 sets , extremely deep are most sets on that ground but can't complain,, ferrets and nets worked well.
  3. Nice one,, always good to be out and about . Had a nice trip out on boxing day myself with two good pals , weather was spot on and the rabbits bolted well.

  6. 60 plus yards,, rig it to 25 yards once I soak it in a dye .

  11. I personally wouldn't use anything above 6z ,, the mesh size are usually 4" to 4 1/4" (full mesh) .

Most will just buy a set up or sheets of machine made netting ,, doubt many folk are kicking them by hand these days ,, I'm knitting one at present,, but just doing a bit now and then ,, you can buy the sheets ,, 4z nylon up to 12z from advanced nets who have a web page ,, think they are out of stock at present though ,, but probably due a delivery soon

  14. Found a a few spools of this thin braided nylon,, been a while since I knitted a long net so I will knit a bit now and again and see what length I end up with ,, be a nice net to handle.
  15. That's just a yard or two of lead line that's hanging onto the wash line pole .. I only use lead line for fishing gear,, Regards.
  16. Have you a picture of the one you have ? A trammel properly rigged has excellent catching ability, Regards.

  18. The square walls are knitted using 0.75mm braided nylon,, the inner mesh is 4z sheet netting, Regards
  19. Just need to add a dye ,, pole it up and get it ready for the season, 25 yards set length ,,
  20. Were popular up this end many years ago ,, the old boys called them veil nets ..
  21. Knitted up a couple of these square meshed sheets for a lad ,, good fun using these nets on open sets .
  22. Came across a few yards of sheet netting, few yards of dark and light green in 4z and a few yards of red/brown shade in 6z ,, so I stitched them all together and rigged up a nice 25 yard Trammel Net .
