  1. al right he won't shoot a deer with his shotgun! but the riflemanis quite far away so it'll be a considerable amount of money for my freind to pay.
  2. i had a dog fish wich, after i had skinned it and beheaded it was twisting and turning for ages. it was even turning when i was chopping it up to put in the pot
  3. this is a pointless argument. a .177 pellet will kill a rabbit with a head shot at 35 yards. simple.
  4. nice pictures kay but that isent a honey suckle i'ts a clematus
  5. yeah corvids are everywhere in wales. i could pop jack daws sitting in mychimney pot every morning if it was not for the risk of clogging up the chymney with one of them
  6. its just if you eat too much lead you get really sick. even die.
  7. what happens if you eat a pellet? just curious.
  8. sorry i'm not a carper and didnt know there were rods actualy designed for spodding
  9. bait boat? beachcaster rod with a 4 oz spod would work
  10. because my name is aaron and i pluck pegeons for lazy decoyers. i get 30p for every pigeon i pluck and i have got quite good at it
  11. ok thanks, but i dont wat to risk wounding a rabbit so i'll just go fo head shots. it might mean that i get more rabbits in the bag, but also might mean that i go home after a hunt knowing that a rabbit is going to die slowly and painfully. i'll stick with headshots
  12. there are not used to being shot at and nobody hunts them. you can quite easily get within 30 yards of them, with with AAA shot (what the gunshop owner reccomended) you could kill one humaely. my friend has bee on a many shoots and he is a god shot and can hit high birds at 40 yards above him
  13. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...01966&st=30 second one down, i assumed that chest shots are al right for rabbits,
  14. well i have set my snares on a small permission. i have been walking there for a few days before and it is teeming with rabbits wich will let you get within 10 yards of them before they bolt!!! (too bad he won't let m shoot on the permission ). i am going to come back at 7.30pm to see if i have got any. i have 7 peg snares (wich were from old trap collector for seding me the snares and too woodga for showing me how to make tealers and pegs on his dvd ) and i have 2 fence snares. i hope to at least get one, but i do not go snaring often and i'm not great at it. i'll update this evening.
  15. i have shot mink at a fishery with air rifles and its a humane as long as your air rifle is above 10ftib at least.
  16. if a rabbit is facing you and standing up like a meerkat then headshots are not always possible. by chest shots i mean the vital organs wich are in the top part of the body.
  17. the exact same thing happened to my 5 ducklings except it was a fox. get some fenns down there and cage traps a.s.a.p. have you got something to dispatch it with? ( i suppose you could empty it in to a sack and give it a quick wallop to the head but they have got very sharp teeth and are slippery customers)
  18. so .177 are more accurate but theydont give much shock effect but .22 are not that accurate but give greater shock effect. my guns a .22 but i'd really like to get a .177 cause they can kill rabbits just as succsefaly as .22 but you have to be accurate. you cannot go for chest shots on rabbits with .177 as you can with .22.
  19. whats wrong with the falcon? i would have thought it was a good gun?
  20. http://www.airgunfarm.co.uk/ here you go.
