  1. Thats the thing mate,, about a 1/4,,, isnt sure enough,,if he was a 1/4 for certain then it would be 1/8 saluki pups,, but as the dam would be the bullx the breeding might go more that way,,, some say the dams slightly on the dominante side some will dissagree,,, but put it this way if i was after a 1st cross collie grey i would use a collie sire and a greyhound dam,, not the other way around. many will dissagree. So it makes sense to me that if i wanted more wind i would use the salukigrey as the dam,,, if i wanted more fast pace up at em type i would use a 5/8 grey 3/8 bull as the dam an
  2. Iam sure she will come into her own mate,, yeah i know you aint the type of bloke to get rid of a young dog on a whim Matt,, i will pm you my number mate as i think its changed since you had the pup,, .
  3. Heyup Matt,, has she been running the bigger stuff mate ?,, this sometimes knocks them off the bunnies. As the other lads have said she maybe just needs another dog there to kick her up a notch mate,, makes a big differance if another dog is present in some cases,, it can deffo click a switch if a dogs always been ran solo. My coursing friend who runs his own line bred salukixlurchers sometimes if he thinks a dog is running a tad lazy or not upping the gear to strike when it is good to do so,which does happen in all breeds, he will slip another in on the run too basically give it a kic
  4. These lamps run at half the temp of a standar lightforce ,, good for bulb life, . Not sure on the i.r ,, fella.
  5. They are a cracking pair of animals mate,, credit to you,, . Iam goona be in the market for a dog pup soon,,, not sure if i will get what iam after,,,, the breeding must be,, 5/8 grey 3/8bull racey leggy type,,x first or second gen sauki grey. My mate has a full kc working saluki dog but that will throw too much one way imo,,,, i think these way bred dogs could be very very good alround animals in the wright hands. What way bred are the dogs fella if you dont mind me asking,,,cheers.
  6. OK, good cross and a good post cheers.as you know i have the litter sister to your pup/youngster.and in an ideal world i would breed from bess in the future.but although bess is going to make a decent dog i find her lacking in some departments.dont get me wrong im not gonna ship her off to another home or anything.my issue is prey drive.bess runs clever sometimes and pulls up at the hedge to early.i know she is still young but i believe this kind of preydrive to be inborn .in my opinion at least 75% of rabbits caught on the land i hunt are caught when the pressure is on at the hedge.a do

  8. yeah got to agree,,, and also yes the laminate will be making it look worse,,,, . It deffo comes from the bull side those loose feet, seen loads with it far more than in any other cross,,, now and then in the collie cross but no where near as bad.
  9. Have to say ,,,spot on,,, they are what they are,,, . Lots of bullx throw loose feet,,and no amount of roadwork will tightern them up,, lots also throw tight feet.
  10. Good luck with the sale,, i think you will need it at that price,, .

  13. Nothing wrong with a good little beddie whippet mate,, i dare say some of the older blood beddy stuff was game as hell,, so if they threw the wright way in a whippet or grey mating then i dare say they would tackel a red coat with pleasure, its just finding proper game working stock today that throws a spanner in the works. Lets face it mate if you into that kind of thing then a beddi whippet aint gonna be you first coice TODAY,, they maywell have done it years back but the whippets were far spunkier back then too,,never mind the beddies.,, the % of sucess rate in the bull x will make them

  15. Think were a fair few crosses back in the day that were game enough and strong enough to take bigger stuff and stuff that bites back, old line bred beddie grey , deergrey, collie grey stuff were as game as they come, and didnt mind taking a bite, but were less prone to getting stick due to how they went about there job. There will still be lurchers taking stuff regular in style with no bull blood in them, just because there not on the internet talking about it doesnt mean they arent about. Bull blood has deffo put some spunk back into the lurcher gene pool, as good blood has fizzeled ou
