    Had them picking runs at 18 mnths old on the lamp never mind 3 or 4,, too much collie aint a good thing,,, 1/4 tops and hold one back that throws the least in appearance,,,but even then if one throws to the COLLIE HEAD side it woldnt be a first.

    Best animals ive seen have been old line bred lurcher type rough haired,, then lined with saluki grey first cross of working coursing stock,,,got to keep the wright ones back, and have to put a lot of time and work into them,,there nose is unbeleavable,, pace stamina,, and the catch more rabbits mooching and ferreting than any beddie x whippet lol,,, if you get the breeding wright and put the time into them then i think they will take some beating,, such a versatile animal that will take to and adjust to any given situation far faster than thee norm.     Lol,, You aint seen a good one then,, ,, they would make a far better allround animal than a straight x,,, and if youre trying to say they wont take a bite then i would dissagree some collie cross are sick on teeth so carnt see the saluki doing many favours in that department,, although yes i would agree saluki adds a good bit of wind and i know a few coursing animals that have bumped into them on there travels,, one took to them one got bit and ran off lol,,,,, if the breeding is wright then this cross in the wright hands have great potential.     Maybe because,, some folk dont want a one trick pony dog,,,and they want a dog that has a bit more wind and agility about it. The straight crosses have no wind and have the turning ability of a double decer buzz,,so some collie grey blood could easily add things to the mix,,, .

    Speed wins races on a greyhound track mate,, thats about it,,,,,,, which kill most daytimes hares,, greyhounds or saluki hybrids . and what runs faster than a hare .
